Hiningan ng reaksiyon si Gela Atayde tungkol sa pinag-usapang European trip ng kapatid niyang si Arjo Atayde at misis nitong si Maine Mendoza.
Kaugnay ito ng ulat ng inquirer.net na matapos ang kasal ng couple ay nakatakdang magtungo ang mga ito sa Switzerland, Greece, at Italy para sa "official trip" ni Arjo bilang House Special Committee on Creative and Performing Arts mula August 5 hanggang August 27.
Noong kasagsagan ng isyu, nilinaw ni Maine na may dalawang klase ng "official" travel.

At sa kaso raw nilang mag-asawa, ayon kay Maine, "personal expense" at galing sa "own pockets" nila ang lahat ng gastos nila sa kanilang paglipad sa Europe.

Hindi naman naapektuhan si Gela sa isyu na ipinukol sa kapatid na si Arjo.
"For me, I remained unbothered with these comments because Kuya said that hindi dapat ako nagpapaapekto," saad ni Gela.
Dugtong niya: "For these people naman, as long as they don’t know me and my family, they don’t really know what’s going on.
"And kahit naman anong sabihin nila I will not let it affect me. Kahit palaban akong tao, I think it is a waste of time and it wouldn’t help...
"Like, what good would it do if lumaban ako sa mga bashers? I guess, kapag nasobrahan na lang."
Natanong din si Gela tungkol sa dynamics niya sa mga karelasyon ng kapatid na sina Arjo at Ria Atayde.
Nobyo ni Ria si Zanjoe Marudo.
Paglalarawan ni Gela, "Very kalog naman talaga si Ate Maine and yung dynamics niya with my family, especially my dad is ganun talaga. I’m kalog din."
Pero mas close raw siya kay Zanjoe na kung tawagin niya ay "Z."
"I don’t see Ate Maine kasi so much, so I think Kuya Z, because I see Kuya Z mostly.
"But nag-uusap pa rin kami ni Ate Maine through message. Si Kuya Z kasi, whenever I’m with Ate Ria, usually magkasama na sila."

Nag-solo presscon siya para sa pagkakapanalo nila ng kanyang dance crew, ang Legit Status, sa MegaCrew division ng World Hip Hop Dance Championship na ginanap sa Phoenix, Arizona noong August 6.

ON JOINING SHOWBIZ
Sumabak na rin si Gela sa pag-aartista tulad ng ina na si Sylvia Sanchez at mga kapatid na sina Arjo at Ria.
May payo bang binigay si Sylvia sa kanya?
Sagot ni Gela, "Right now, we don’t really talk so much about it, but ang lagi niya lang sinasabi is lagi raw maging mabait sa lahat and to be generous.
"Most of all, she always reminds me na huwag akong masyadong prangka.
"I think I know what to do and she trusts me."
Ngayon lang daw siya pumasok sa showbiz dahil gusto muna niyang makatapos ng pag-aaral.
"I was in Poveda. I just waited to graduate because I don’t want to leave Poveda kasi I grew up there and I got into the dance team in Poveda."
Full support ang mga kapamilya ni Gela na nagpaabot ng mensahe sa kanya sa pamamagitan ng isang audio visual presentation sa presscon.
Hindi maiwasang mapaluha ni Gela nang mapanood ito.

"Congratulations dahil finally naabot mo na yung pangarap mo simula noong bata ka pa. Naaalala ko noon na nagtatago ka pa sa kung saan-saan para makapag-practice ka ng sayaw.
