Pasok sa Top 6 ang Filipino singer na si Kier King sa D’Academy Asia 6 (The Real Voice of Asia), isang kilalang reality talent show sa Indonesia.
Si Kier, 28, ay dating Idol Philippines Season 1 contender. Siya ay tubong Sultan Kudarat at kilala rin sa pangalang Ralf.

Sa nakaraang round ng D'Academy Asia 6, matagumpay na nahawakan ni Kier ang kanyang kauna-unahang Top 1 placement sa nakalipas na dalawang buwan ng kompetisyon.
Hindi pa man natatapos ang kompetisyon ay nagpapasalamat na si Kier sa narating niya.
Ayon kay Kier, "I joined D’Academy Asia 6 without much expectation since Dangdut is a new genre to me. But as the competition goes by, natuto ako and appreciated how beautiful Dangdut music is.
"I am grateful [to be] given this opportunity to learn Dangdut, and at the same time represent the Philippines in an international stage.
"I would not be where I am today if not for the trust and support of the people who continuously believe in me, my friends and supporters (both from the Philippines and Indonesia), and most specially, the guidance of our exceptionally talented coach, Coach Adibal, and the DAA6 creatives Team."
Ang Dangdut, ayon sa britannica.com, ay isang uri ng Indonesian pop and folk music na may halong Indian, Malaysian, at Western musical style.
Kasalakuyang nagaganap ang kompetisyon para sa ika-anim na season ng Asian-level Dangdut singing competition.
Ang next showdown ng mga kalahok ay nakatakda ngayong Biyernes, August 25.
Ibinahagi ni Kier ang mga prosesong pinagdaanan niya para umabot sa Top 6.
"Actually, nahirapan po talaga ako nung umpisa at hanggang ngayon din naman. Sobrang hirap po, and up to now I’m still having a hard time to learn Dangdut songs and Cengkok.
"Kasi, majority ng music influence sa atin ay galing sa Western countries. Tapos, ang genre ko pa is pop R&B. So, it’s really hard.
"But I’m working on it because this is [a] once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and this is my dream and for my family, too. Kasi, I want also to give them a good life."
Kumusta ang naging karanasan niya sa kompetisyon at ang paninirahan niya sa Indonesia ng ilang buwan?
"I enjoyed it a lot," sagot ni Kier.
"I gained a lot of friends from other countries. Nagkaroon din ako ng chance to know a lot sa culture nila and a lot of knowledge when it comes to their music.
"I’m so proud of myself kasi nakakaya ko na manirahan sa ibang bansa all by myself. Kaya dadalhin ko ang naging experience ko sa Indonesia with my whole life.”
During the competition may mga na-meet si Kier na mga artista sa Indonesia.
"Na-meet ko si Ms Erie Suzan. Uh, kasama ko kasi siya na mag-perform sa stage.
"She is so nice, humble and very kind person. I like her personality a lot and she is my idol too. Very genuine," saad pa ni Kier.
Sino ang kasama niya sa Indonesia?
"Ang family ko po na super ang suporta sa akin from day one. They’re always there for me, win or lose ups and downs," sagot uli ni Kier.
Kasama rin niya si Loie Magan, CEO ng Lx2 Entertainment, ang talent management company na kinabibilangan ng singer.
"Every time na sasampa ako sa stage, nandoon sila sa crowd to show their support. I remember those days that they went here just to watch me live.
"I appreciate that so much kasi they really spend money, time, and effort para ipakita ang support nila sa akin especially kay Direk Marvin Caldito and kay Ms. Loie, at sa lahat ng staff ng Lx2 Entertainment."

WHO IS KIER KING?
Si Kier ay dating miyembro ng all-male group na One Up sa GMA-7.
Bata pa lang siya ay sumasali na siya sa contest, at itinanghal na grand champion sa Pop Star Kids Season 2 noong 2007.
Lumabas din siya sa ilang Kapuso shows tulad ng My Guitar Princess (2018), Studio 7 (2018), at Alyas Robinhood (2017).
Si Kier ang kumanta sa teleserye theme songs sa GMA-7: "Let The Love Begin" kasama si Julie Anne San Jose, "Magkaibigang Mundo" kasama si Maricris Garcia, at "Ang Forever Ko'y Ikaw."
