Social media personality Bretman Rock is having a grand time enjoying the beautiful island of Palawan.
The Hawaii-based Bretman is currently in the Philippines for a holiday, generously sharing snaps of his adventures on social media to the delight of his friends and followers.
"It's always gonna be more fun in the Philippines," he said in a post.

Bretman has been doing it all while in Palawan — snorkeling, driving a boat, kayaking, paddle boarding, and even after being stung by a stingray.
He said about the incident, "I honestly thought I stepped on something sharp at first but I knew I had to get out [of] the water when I started to feel throbbing up to my head.
"When I got out I had 2 stings and that's how the locals knew it was a stingray...
"I put ice and it helped a lot but on the boat ride back I ran out of ice and I was legit rethinking my life, then they put plant medicine and then boom she's healed."
DID HE SAY THAT AGAINST VANESSA?
Bretman, meanwhile, couldn't help but feel sentimental as he looked back on his life journey while on the picturesque tourist destination spot.
“Only if that little kid who grew up in Sanchez Mira Cagayan knew he would have everything he ever dreamt of one day. It’s so hard not to feel proud of that little brown boy when I’m home,” mused Bretman.
Bretman was born in Cagayan and spent his childhood there up until he was seven years old when he moved to Hawaii.
“Why are you not the Philippines ambassador again?” asked one of Bretman's followers in the comment section of his post.
Another follower commented, “Don’t get me wrong, I like Vanessa Hudgens but Bretman Rock should’ve been the Global Tourism Ambassador to promote the Philippines."
The netizen was referring to Hollywood actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens, who, in March of this year, was named Global Tourism Ambassador to help promote Philippine tourism.

Vanessa's mother, Gina Guangco, is Filipina and a native of Mindanao.
Another comment from Bretman's follower popped up, “Vanessa Hudgens is shaking [fire emojis]"
To this, Bretman replied, “B**** can’t even say Palawan.”

PH TOURISM AMBASSADOR DEBATE
Vanessa being picked as the Philippine tourism ambassador was criticized by some people.
Others suggested South Korean singer-actress, former 2NE1 member, and Star Circle Quest 2004 runner-up Sandara Park — known also as Dara — as a more suitable choice.
While not a Filipino, fans and observers praised Sandara's love of the Philippines as shown through her content online which highlights the country's culture and tradition.

Bretman's name was also floated, with fans vouching for his strong Filipino roots and sense of pride in promoting the country in his vlogs.

“Dear @TourismPHL, Hear me out cos I want to nominate singer-songwriter, actor, actress, athlete, activist, coconut water connoisseur, mascara master, and mother of chickens, @bretmanrock. We need someone proud of their Filipino roots. Otherwise, it’s just a job,” remarked a netizen on Twitter (now X) at the time.
