Si Kathryn ang hinirang na Philippine winner sa kategoryang Outstanding Asian Star sa SDA dahil sa natatanging pagganap niya bilang Ali sa ABS-CBN primetime series na 2 Good 2 Be True.

Nitong Huwebes, September 21, 2023, personal na tinanggap ng aktres ang kanyang Outstanding Asian Star trophy nang dumalo siya sa awarding ceremonie sa Seoul, South Korea.
Sa kanyang acceptance speech, sinabi ni Kathryn na sa labis niyang kasiyahan ay pakiramdam niya ay isa lamang itong panaginip.
Saad niya, “When I initially found out about the nomination and recognition for my craft by such an esteemed award-giving body, that in itself is already a win for me.
"By being here tonight, a person to receive this award, along with my fellow awardees from Asia, I feel overwhelmed and it still feels surreal."

Inisa-isa rin niyang pinasalamatan ang mga taong nasa likod ng kanyang tagumpay sa pangunguna ng mga kasamahan niya sa 2 Good 2 Be True at fans.

Ayon pa kay Kathryn, ang pagganap niya sa 2 Good 2 Be True bilang si Ali, isang nurse, ay naging daan para mas ma-appreciate niya ang sakripisyo at kadakilaan ng healthcare workers.
Buong pagmamalaki pa niya, ang seryeng ito ay isang halimbawa ng world-class project na kayang gawing ng mga Pilipino.
Sabi niya, “It’s always been more than just sharing about a love story to our audience, but also spreading awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and educating people about those who struggle with it and how we can offer them the best support they need.
“This project made me appreciate our nurses and healthcare workers, so it was really more than just another TV show for me.
“I hope we continue to produce world-class projects not just for Filipinos, but for the whole world to see."
