Ronnie Liang is dedicated to bringing joy to children with cleft lip or cleft palate.
Inspired by his 2007 hit song "Ngiti," Ronnie established the Project Ngiti Foundation in 2022 with its mission to provide free surgery, along with transportation and maintenance medicine, for children with cleft lip or palate.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the singer-actor proudly shared the progress of his outreach project.
Ronnie announced a new partnership with Lucky Chinatown Mall to continue spreading smiles and helping children with cleft lip or cleft palate.
Ronnie wrote, "I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to @luckychinatown_ for their invaluable support and collaboration with the Ronnie Liang Project Ngiti Foundation.
"Their selection of our foundation as a partner for the A Thousand Sparkles Of Christmas Project, dedicated to aiding children with lip and cleft palate conditions, is truly commendable."
Since its inception, the Project Ngiti Foundation has listed nearly a thousand individuals requiring cleft lip or cleft palate procedures.
Through their recent collaboration, 20 of these children will receive surgery, ensuring that their smiles are beautifully restored just in time for the holiday season.
"With approximately 1,000 children eagerly awaiting surgical procedures, this partnership has brought about a significant milestone.
"By joining forces, we are able to extend our reach and provide an additional 20 children with life-changing operations, completely free of charge, during this festive Christmas season."
Ronnie continued, "It is important to emphasize that this project is not confined to a single event but represents a long-term commitment to transforming lives.
"Together, we are making a tangible difference and instilling hope in the hearts of these young children suffering from lip and cleft palate conditions.
"Our joint efforts are not only delivering medical interventions but also fostering an environment of positivity and warmth.
"With every smile we bring to these children's faces, we are conveying our collective belief that together, we can overcome challenges and create a brighter future."
Wrapping up his post with a sincere Christmas message, he conveyed, "As the holiday season draws near, we extend our warmest wishes to all those involved.
"May the Christmas spirit fill our hearts with joy, and may our partnership continue to have a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of these children. Merry Christmas!"
