Naiuwi ni RJ de Vera ang titulo bilang Man Hot Star International 2023 nitong Sabado ng gabi, November 25, 2023.
Back-to-back victory ito para sa Pilipinas dahil si Jovy Bequillo ang nagpasa ng titulo kay RJ.
Ginanap ang grand coronation night ng nasabing male pageant sa Sansuk Grand Hall sa Bangsaen Heritage Hotel, Thailand.
Bukod sa korona, mag-uuwi si RJ ng THB200,000 na nasa PHP313,597.69, bilang premyo sa kompetisyon.
Walong kandidato mula sa iba't ibang bansa ang tinalo ni RJ.
Double celebration nga rin itong maituturing dahil ang 1st Runner-up na si Kristzan Karlo Delos Santos na nagrepresenta sa U.S.A. ay Pinoy rin.
Samantala, 2nd Runner-up naman ang kandidato mula sa Korea na si Jo Seong Hyeon, 3rd Runner-up ang delegate mula sa Canada na si Noah Joel Chandler, at 4th Runner-up ang pambato ng Thailand na si Oat Naranwach Piakhammueng.
RJ DE VERA: FULL PERFORMANCE
Maganda ang ipinakitang performance ni RJ sa kompetition.
Lahat ng kandidato ay lumaban sa swimwear, formal wear, at speech competitions, kung saan napili ang top five.
Sa swimwear, ipinakita ni ni RJ ang kanyang makisig na katawan.
Dinaan naman nito sa charm ang kanyang performance sa formal wear segment ng pageant.
Sa speech, ibinahagi naman ni RJ ang kanyang advocacy laban sa gender-based violence.
Ang buong speech ni RJ, "Violence against women is an act of gender-based violence. And it is an issue that affects everyone.
"And as a gentleman, I think what I want to say is that we must treat everyone identically, no matter what gender we have.
"And treat everyone with the same respect, understanding, and kindness.
"And not only our women, but of course the LGBT+ community as well. Because at the end of the day, we are all human beings.
"We have feelings, and we have emotions. And we are all equal. Thank you."
Matapos makilala ang Top 5, muling naglaban ang mga ito sa isa pang round ng formal wear. Suot ni RJ ang kanyang napiling red and black na suit.
Sumabak naman sa question and answer ang top 3.
Ang napiling tanong ni RJ: "As the new Man Hot Star International 2023, what advice would you give to inspire the young generation in this day?"
Ang winning answer ni RJ: "Well, the advice that I could give to a lot of people is to not give up. You know, I've been in the pageantry for how many years...
"It took me 10 years in order for me to be where I am right now.
"And yes, life is hard. We might suffer from the challenges that we might experience.
"But when life knocks me down, I'll make sure that I'll get back on my feet and keep moving forward.
"Because I believe that success is not counted by the time you win, but success is counted by the time you stand up when you fall."
