Trending ngayong weekend ang post tungkol sa isang crew member ng branch ng isang kilalang fast-food chain sa SM City Davao.

Nagdu-door-to-door kasi ito sa village para maghanap ng customers.

In-upload ang video ng isang concerned citizen dahil sa aniya ay “unjust” ang treatment sa crew member.

Malalaman sa video na Sheila ang pangalan ng crew member, na inutusan daw ng kanyang manager na maghanap ng customers.

At that time, naglalakad siya at nagtatanong-tanung ng gustong mag-order.

Pagkatapos, personal daw niyang ide-deliver ang mga orders na makukuha.

Usisa ng kumuha ng video, paano kung mag-order ito ng halo-halo? Tunaw na raw ito pagdating sa customer.

Sagot ng crew member, magta-trycycle na lang ito o magdi-dyip, pero sariling pera raw ang gamit.

Sabi pa ni Sheila, “required” silang maghanap ng customers dahil matumal daw ang benta sa store.

Nag-skip ang video at nag-jump sa mga pangyayari makalipas ang isang oras.

Makikitang bumalik si Sheila para ihatid ang order ng kumuha ng video at iba pang orders sa village.

"TREAT WORKERS FAIRLY"

Gumawa ng follow-up video ang customer, at sapagkakataong ito, binanggit niya ang paliwanag ng ilang netizens sa comments.

Sabi nila, “common marketing strategy” umano sa Pilipinas ang ginawa ni Sheila.

At wala raw bayad si Sheila sa kanyang extra work na maghanap ng customers sa mga kalapit na lugar. Wala ring allowance, tulad ng pamasahe.

Kaya ang panawagan ng customer: "Treat workers fairly and pay them for the extra work they’re doing.”

Aniya pa ukol kay Sheila, “She’s knocking door to door asking people if we wanted to order.”

Nagtataka rin siya kung bakit kailangang ito ang maghatid ng order kahit may food-delivery services naman.

FAST-FOOD COMPANY REACTS

Naglabas naman ng pahayag ang fast-food chain na pinagtatrabahuan ni Shiela.

“We assure our customers and the public that we are treating this matter seriously.

“As such, we have asked the store to place the said activity on hold while the guidelines to ensure compliance with our standards are undergoing review."
