Ang Filipino-American comedian-actor na si Jo Koy ang napiling host ng Golden Globes.
Ang Golden Globe Awards ay ang annual awards-giving body sa U.S. para sa American and international films at TV series.
Ayon sa producers ng awards-giving body, napili nila si Jo Koy dahil sa kanyang “infectious energy and relatable humor.”
“We are thrilled to have Jo host the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards and bring his infectious energy and relatable humor to kick off Hollywood’s award season.
"We know Jo is bringing his A-game,” ani Golden Globes President Helen Hoehne sa isang statement.
Sabi naman ni Jo Koy sa isang statement, "I’ve stepped onto a lot of stages around the world in my career, but this one is going to be extra special. I’m so excited to be hosting the Golden Globes this year.
"This is that moment where I get to make my Filipino family proud."

Ito ang kauna-unahang major award show hosting gig ni Jo Koy, at mapapanood ito sa darating na January 7, 2024.
Si Jo Koy ang nagsimula bilang stand-up comedian na nakilala sa kanyang comedy skit ukol sa pagpapalaki sa kanya ng kanyang inang Pilipina, si Josie Harrison.
