Pia Magalona and family marked the 15th death anniversary of Francis Magalona by visiting his grave at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
On Instagram, Pia wrote, "As the years go on, I thank God that He is in my heart, by my side, to guide me. As always, what motivates me is our family, as it was when you were around."
Pia fondly recalled how Francis would often quote the line "love is a battlefield," a reference to Joan Jett's song, when discussing the intricacies of relationships.
"I’d argue back that no, with unconditional love there’s no need to prove nor expect anything," Pia recalled telling Francis.

Known as the "Master Rapper," Francis succumbed to leukemia on March 6, 2009, at age 44.
Pia's marriage to Francis came under scrutiny in November last year following the emergence of the latter's alleged lovechild named Cheska.

The mother of Cheska, Abegail Rait, claimed that Francis was "single" when she got involved with the rapper.

MAXENE AND SAAB TOGETHER
Meanwhile, many were happy to see sisters Maxene and Saab Magalona together in the photos uploaded by Pia.
Wrote a netizen, "Max and Saab, glad to see them together."
Another reaction said, "Sooooo so happy to see Saab and Maxx in one photo again!!"
Past rumors suggested that Max and Saab were at odds after netizens noticed that the two were not following each other on Instagram.
A series of cryptic posts on social media only fueled speculation, with many assuming that the siblings were exchanging veiled jabs.

But on November 23, 2021, Maxene posted a birthday greeting to Saab on Instagram.
Her post was accompanied by a photo of them together as kids.
Maxene and Saab share the same birthday.
Saab did not reply to Maxene, prompting a netizen to chastise the former, accusing Saab of being conceited and prideful.
In response, Saab posted a private conversation between her and Maxene, showing that they're on good terms.

“Happy bday Maxx [heart emojis] Miss you and love you always and you are always in my heart," Saab's message to Maxene reads.
Maxene responded, "Same here. Praying for you and your family always."
While the incident put rumors to rest, it's unusual to see Maxene and Saab together in public, which is why Pia's latest post was met with cheers from netizens.
