Nagsilbing magandang inspirasyon si Rica Peralejo sa kanyang followers nang magkuwento ito tungkol sa self-appreciation at empowerment sa kanyang Instagram account.
Nitong April 2, 2024, nag-post si Rica ng kanyang litrato kung saan makikita itong naka-swimsuit na may long-sleeves.
Sa caption ng kanyang post, ikinuwento ni Rica na dati siyang na-insecure sa kanyang legs dahil mas "fat" ito kung ikukumpara sa nakagisnang beauty standard.

Ngunit sa kanyang pagtanda ay nawala rin ang insecurity na ito.
Kuwento ni Rica, "I used to hate my 'fat' legs (i come from kate moss era so her legs were standard and my legs were already considered obese hahaha) and wished they were thin legs.
Dagdag nito, "Now all I pray for are strong legs. I dont care how they look for as long as they take me to places where I want to go.
"The shift in your forties can both be sobering and stress-free at the same time and I love it.
"I love how freeing it is to age and think of what others think less than what we actually want and need."
RICA PERALEJO RESPONDS TO NETIZEN
Sa comments section, umani ng papuri si Rica ngunit may ilan ding tila hindi natuwa sa litratong kanyang ibinahagi.
Isa sa comments ang pumuna sa in-upload ni Rica at sinabing hindi ito akma sa kanya dahil na rin pastor ang kanyang asawa.
Sabi sa comment, "Ang pretty at sexy mo po Ms. Rica. But sad to say, as a christian di ito bagay ipost lalo na’t Pastor ang inyong husband. Di siya pleasant sa paningin ni Lord. Hate me after. [emoji]."
Mahinahon naman itong sinagot ni Rica.
Sabi nito, "@XXXXXX respect your opinion but we definitely don’t hold the same position on it. Great day to you anyway!"
Nakapag-reply pa ang netizen ng, "likewise po [emoji]"
Sa sumunod namang comment, sinabi ni Rica na na-appreciate nito kahit papaano ang naging tono ng komento ng netizen dahil hindi ito agresibo gaya ng iba.
Sabi ni Rica sa kanyang Instagram follower, "i appreciate you being respectful in your manner tho [emoji]"
Nagbigay naman ng suporta ang ilang followers ni Rica at nag-reply rin sa nasabing komento ng netizen.
Sabi ng isang Instagram user kay Rica, "God knows your heart and that’s all that matters. God bless you sister! [emoji]"
Komento naman ng isa pang netizen na nagtanggol kay Rica, "that’s not fair kapatid, what is she going to wear in a swimming venue?
"Long dress because she is a Pastor’s wife? She’s wearing a decent swimwear, too much judgement because of her work before?
"The Lord forgives…we are all sinners and trying to live according to God’s purpose. We really don’t know how to act or position ourselves anymore."
May halo namang kaunting gigil ang komentong ito ng isang netizen.
