In response to overwhelming demand from their Filipino fans, Japanese rock sensation Radwimps will grace the Philippine stage for the first time.
They will hold a concert in Araneta Coliseum on May 1, 2024, for the Manila leg of their Radwimps World Tour 2024, “The way you yawn, and the outcry of Peace”.
Since the band’s formation in 2001, Radwimps has emerged as a prominent force in the Japanese music scene, making a major label debut in 2005 and amassing a dedicated fan following, particularly among the younger generation.

RADWIMPS AND THEIR HIT SONGS
With nine studio albums to their name, Radwimps has not only captivated Japan but also achieved international acclaim, creating music for blockbuster animated films like Kimi no Na wa or Your Name (2016) and Weathering with You (2019), earning accolades at the Japanese Academy Awards for Best Original Score.
In November 2021, Radwimps released their latest studio album Forever Daze navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic.
The album reflects on their musical journey, aspirations, and features diverse collaborations and experimental elements.
Additionally, their collaboration with renowned film music composer Kazuma Jinnouchi for the soundtrack of Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume (2022) further solidified their impact, with the film grossing over $300 million globally.
Suzume has not only achieved tremendous success in Japan, grossing over 14.22 billion Yen but has also resonated globally, including in the Philippines.
Radwimps’ popularity in Southeast Asia is evident, with the Philippines ranking as the #3 streaming market for the band.
