Pageant fans are abuzz following the announcement that beauty queen Krishnah Gravidez is withdrawing from the Miss Charm pageant.
On Sunday, June 2, 2024, Krishnah shared the news via an Instagram post.
In her caption, she explained that her decision came after "much consideration and reflection."
Krishnah also gave thanks for the incredible opportunities, experiences, and friendships gained through her participation in Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and her reign as Miss Charm Philippines 2023.
She asked for continued support as she embarks on new endeavors.
Her full statement reads: "To the pageant fans, Team Strawberries, my Vietnamese supporters, and my core team, who watched my journey and waited, I thank you for holding on.
"After much consideration and reflection, I regret to inform you that I have decided to withdraw from the Miss Charm International competition.
"I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible opportunities that Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Charm Philippines have afforded me.
"It has been an honor to be part of such prestigious competitions, and I am truly grateful for the experiences and friendships I have gained along the way.
"I want to thank Mama J especially, who has been one of the best mentors and gave his valuable support for the decisions I needed to make. [emoji]
"Thank you once again for the incredible journey with Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Charm Philippines. I will always cherish the memories and lessons learned during my time of reign.
"As I embark on this new chapter of my life, I hope to have your continued support in all my future endeavors. [emoji] To God be the Glory."

KRISHNAH GRAVIDEZ RECEIVES MESSAGES OF SUPPORT
The comments section of Krishnah's Instagram post was flooded with supportive messages.
Among the first to comment was her batchmate, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, who wrote, "Always proud of you our queen!! See you soon," accompanied by a heart emoji.
Miss Supranational 2023 1st runner-up Pauline Amelinckx also gave her support, saying, "Proud of you and all your effort and dedication to your journey. We’re all behind you in whatever is next for you," also with a heart emoji.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines batchmate CJ Opiaza told Krishnah wrote "We are always proud of you! Love you Krish," alongside three white heart emojis.
Other beauty queens and celebrities who showed their support for Krishnah's decision included Roxie Smith, Chantal Elise Schmidt, Ashley Subijano, Angelique Manto, David Guison, and Michelle Arceo, among many others.


Krishnah earned the Miss Charm Philippines title after finishing in the Top 3 of the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 in May last year, succeeding Annabelle McDonnell, who was the first runner-up in the global competition held in February 2023.
As of May 2024, 27 contestants have already confirmed their participation for the pageant's sophomore edition. Details of the pageant are yet to be announced.
