Kris Aquino has confirmed that she is open to the possibility of beginning a new relationship with a non-showbiz guy.
This revelation occurred during her interview with Ogie Diaz for his vlog on YouTube, published Saturday, June 29, 2024.
The exact date of the vlog's filming was not mentioned, but Ogie recently visited Kris at her residence in Orange County, California.
In the interview, Ogie initially directed his question to Kris' son Bimby, inquiring about the status of his mom's heart.
Bimby answered, "Now, mom's heart is peaceful lang. Peaceful, steady, at peace, yun."
Bimby went on to confirm that his mom and Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste are no longer in a relationship.
When Ogie asked, "May bago na ba?"
Bimby looked a bit surprised but handled it gracefully, saying, "That's up to mom to say. And sa tingin ko, yeah, that's up to mom to say."
However, Kris is overheard in the background granting him permission to answer "Meron!"
Hearing this, Ogie asked again, "Meron na ang Mama mo?"
Bimby continued, "He's a very good guy. Very good guy to me... Medyo ano, makulit lang. But, [he's a] very good guy."
KRIS AQUINO ON NEW LOVE LIFE
Hearing her son's last comment prompted Kris to go on cam to clarify the situation.
She said, "Hindi naman love life, but it just flowed, nangyari. And he's a doctor.
"And I think that's part of the reason why it was easy. Kasi alam niya anong pinagdadaanan ko.
"And he's part of the reason why I'm confident na puwede akong umuwi.
"Kasi alam ko na there's someone who will help in taking care of me."
Then she provides the information herself: "So, obviously, by saying that, alam na nila na he's a doctor based in the Philippines."
After revealing that the doctor is Makati based, she said, "Okay. It ends there, Makati. Ang laki naman ng Makati, Bimb. At maraming ospital in Makati and in BGC."
Kris wanted it known that there was no overlap between Batangas Governor Mark Leviste and the doctor, because she and Mark had broken up some time ago.
In her words, "Can I just say na may malaking gap naman. Hindi naman siya nagkasabay.
"At hindi siya ang dahilan kung bakit...
"Walang overlap. Walang overlap, at hindi siya yung dahilan kung bakit hindi kami naging okay."
Kris and Mark broke up in November 2023, but Mark has continued to provide updates about Kris even after that.

Sharing more on why she feels comfortable with the doctor, Kris said, "The reason siguro that I felt comfortable about him is because I feel na aalagaan niya ako.
"And important yun sa taong may nararamdaman na mahirap gamutin. Kasi you need someone na puwede mong sandalan. Yan lang yun siguro."
