Pinagluluksa ng buong showbiz industry ang pagpanaw ng movie producer na si Lily Monteverde.
Si Mother Lily ang Regal Films matriarch at nasa likod ng napakaraming blockbuster movie franchises, tulad ng Shake, Rattle & Roll at Mano Po.
Siya rin ang nagpasikat sa mga tinaguriang original Regal babies na sina Maricel Soriano, Snooky Serna, Gabby Concepcion, William Martinez, Albert Martinez, Dina Bonevie, at iba pa.
Sa unang gabi ng lamay para kay Mother Lily sa Valencia Events Place noong Lunes, August 6, 2024, nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Roselle, ikatlo sa limang anak ni Mother Lily.
Si Roselle ang CEO ng Regal Entertainment, Inc. at siniguro niyang patuloy na itataguyod ng pamilya ang higit limang dekadang pagpoprodyus ng mga pelikula at TV shows.
"We talked lately, kaming magkakapatid. We're going to continue the legacy that our mom left.
"Regal Films, Regal Entertainment Inc. will still go on," paniniyak ni Roselle.

MOTHER LILY'S LOVE FOR PHILIPPINE CINEMA
Ayon kay Roselle, mahal na mahal ng kanyang ina ang Philippine entertainment industry.
Lagi raw siyang pinaaalahanan nitong huwag mapagod magprodyus ng mga pelikula kahit na hirap pa rin ang local film industry na hikayatin ang mga manonood na magbalik-sinehan.
"Actually, every time naman, e. It's not a final message or what.
"She had always loved the industry. She would always say, 'Continue producing. Don't leave. This is my world.'
"Minahal niya itong industriya so gusto niya na i-continue namin what she started sa Regal."
Ano ang pinaka-unforgettable memory niya kay Mother Lily?
Ayon kay Roselle, "Ang daming incidents that are really unforgettable, like the way she produces a movie, the way she picks what movie to produce.
"Also, yung kanyang vision, 'Gumawa ka pa. Sigurado kang hindi masyadong malakas ngayon ang cinema? Oo, basta gawa ka lang nang gawa, kailangan natin yan.'
"Ako naman, 'Sige, sige.'"
Bilib si Roselle sa ibinuhos na pagmamahal ng ina sa movie industry.
"She doesn't really think all the time na kuwentado lahat, na kailangan kumita lahat ng pelikula. It's really more [of] what she can do to the industry.
"Kakaiba, kakaiba yung nasa loob niya, e. She's not just a businesswoman, she's someone who is really passionate of the industry.
"Yun talaga, e. Pag may anak ka, ninenurture mo, binibigay mo ang lahat.
"Ang turing niya dito, mundo niya ito, this is her life, this is how she lived for the past fifty years. More than fifty years, nandito siya."

ON MOTHER LILY AS A MOTHER
Sa kabilang banda, inilarawan ni Roselle na isang mapagmahal pero disiplinaryong ina si Mother Lily.
"Very, very, very caring, very loving, hindi niya kami pinabayaan. Very disciplined, she's a disciplinarian.
"Minsan parang sa tao, istrikto siya sa negosyo. Pero at the same time, bibigay din yan. Ganun naman, we all know that."
Anong payo ni Mother Lily ang tumanim sa kanya at dala-dala niya sa pakikibaka sa buhay?
Ayon kay Roselle, "She doesn't have to say much because it's really more the way she brought us up.
"Parang yun na rin ang na ano namin, we were able to learn from her a lot as a mother."

HOW HER MOTHER TOUCHED MANY LIVES
Labis din ang pasasalamat ni Roselle sa mga taong nagpahatid sa kanila ng pakikiramay at suporta sa pagpanaw ng ina.
"Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila na through the years, hindi nila binitawan what my mom produced. Nakakatuwa lang talaga," saad niya.
"Marami diyan, e. Kasi my mom helped a lot of people in the industry.
"So when I read the messages on social media, we can't help but, you know, 'Wow, grabe!'
"Not only one, ang dami nila, so nakaka-inspire, di ba?"
May pakiusap din si Roselle sa mga gustong magpadala ng bulaklak sa lamay ng kanyang ina.
Punung-puno na ng mga bulaklak ang lamay ni Mother Lily sa dami ng nagpaabot ng pakikiramay sa pamilya Monteverde.
Sabi ni Roselle, sa halip na magpadala ng bulaklak ay mag-donate na lang sa mga sinusuportahang adbokasiya ng kanyang ina.
"Every year naman nagbibigay siya sa MOWELFUND so she wants us to continue that.
"Instead of sending flowers, donate it to MOWELFUND," tukoy ni Roselle sa Movie Workers Welfare Foundation Inc.
Dagdag niya, "And our brothers and sisters also talk about giving it [to] cancer society because nagka-cancer siya.
"Then also sa church, ang dami niya ring tinulungang seminarians."
