Real-life couple Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz are now in the U.S. for the kick-off of #SparkleWorldTour concerts this August and September.
Julie Anne and Rayver, along with other Sparkle GMA Artist talents, are scheduled to perform in Anaheim on August 9, 2024, and San Francisco, August 10, to bring a piece of home to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The Sparkle World Tour is also set to take place in Canada and Japan this August and September.
This is not, however, the first time Julie Anne and Rayver performed together in a concert abroad.
In the U.S., the two will be joined by Isko Moreno, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Boobay, and Alden Richards.
Julie Anne shared that this is her third world tour with Rayver, and she couldn’t be happier to be performing alongside him in concerts abroad.
For his part, Rayver was all smiles when asked about having his girlfriend perform beside him.

“Sa lahat ng performances ko pag kasama ko si Julie, parang feeling ko ganon din ako kagaling kumanta,” he quipped.
“So, malaking bagay na nandiyan si Julie for me.”
Julie Anne reciprocated her beau’s answer: “Ako, mas ginaganahan ako at nakikita ko na kasama ko si Ray na mag-perform. Yun talalga.
“Tsaka feeling ko ano talaga, parang I’m always at my best whenever I’m with him, whenever I’m performing with him.”

Though she has performed in front of fellow Filipinos in the U.S., Julie Anne admitted to still getting butterflies in her stomach.
But this time around though, excitement is more dominant, “It’s a good kind of nervousness pero parang more on excitement talaga.
“Mas nae-excite kami kasi iba yung adrenaline. Siyempre, pagka rehearsals, di ba, walang tao. Pagka may audience na, iba yung energy pag andiyan sila.”
On the other hand, Rayver explained the bliss of having OFWs as audience. He highlighted their “warmth."
He exclaimed, “Talagang hindi mapapantayan every time na may Sparkle tour.
“Talagang na-e-excite kami kasi makakasama na namin sila ulit, makakapiling namin sila, and makapagbigay ng saya or tuwa.
“Madadala namin yung Pilipinas ulit sa kanila.”
Julie Anne is grateful for the opportunity to bring a bit of joy to Filipinos abroad who are longing for home, even if just for a short while.
The singer said, “Yung iba sa kanila, di ba, ilang taon nang di nakakauwi kaya masarap din sa pakiramdam na magiging isa kami sa reasons kung bakit nawala yung lungkot nila for the time being…
“And excited kami, siyempre, and naglu-look forward kami na makasama sila sa maikling panahon man.
“Ibibigay namin yung best namin para ma-entertain sila, patawanin sila, pasiyahin sila.”
