The Script performed at Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 11, 2025, with high energy, fan sing-alongs, and a heartfelt tribute to Mark Sheehan. Danny called Manila "the loudest, the biggest, the best," showing the band’s strong bond with their Filipino fans.
Manila showed its love once again to The Script, which rocked the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 11, 2025, at its Satellites World Tour.
The night was filled with hit songs, emotional mo acments, and jamming sessions with the crowd.
The band kicked things off with "You Won't Feel a Thing," then it officially opened with a medley of "Superheroes," "Rain," "Both Ways," and "Six Degrees of Separation."
Before performing "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," lead singer Danny paused to acknowledge the overwhelming energy of the Manila crowd.
Having played in the city multiple times, he called it the “loudest, the biggest, the best we’ve ever played.”
The crowd responded with deafening cheers, proving once again that The Script and its Filipino fans share an unmatched bond.

AN EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE
One of the most emotional moments of the night was when the band paid tribute to Mark Sheehan, its late guitarist who passed away in 2023.
Before performing "If You Could See Me Now," Danny addressed the audience with a heartfelt gratitude.
“For all of you, I’m forever grateful,” he said, reflecting on the band’s difficult journey.
He credited the fans for helping the members return to the stage, saying, “The only reason why we’re back up on stage again, doing what we love, singing all the pain and letting it out, is because of every single one of you guys.”
He then dedicated the song not just to Sheehan but to everyone who had ever lost someone.
“He wanted to come to the Philippines, so I know he’s looking down right now, probably having whiskey,” he added, prompting both laughter and sadness from the audience.
He ended with a powerful statement: “We all know they’re in heaven, looking down on us right now. We wish they were all here. They may be gone, but we feel them all around us, don’t we?”
The concertgoers, moved by his words, swayed their phone flashlights in a breathtaking tribute.
The moment became more than just a song—it turned into a shared experience of grief, healing, and remembrance.
The performance was raw and heartfelt, leaving many attendees teary-eyed as they sang along.

FAN-FAVORITE HITS AND CROWD INTERACTION
The set continued with Inside Out, Never Seen Anything 'Quite Like You', Before the Worst, and Nothing. During Nothing, Danny elevated the experience by walking through the crowd, bringing the performance closer to the fans, and encouraging them to sing along.
He frequently reached out to hold hands with fans.
The energy reached another peak during Danny's performance of "Paint the Town Green," as he shouted, “Is the Philippines in the house?!”
The arena erupted in cheers, with fans jumping in excitement at his invitation.
Unlike many concerts where fans remain spectators, The Script ensured that every attendee felt involved.
Whether through sing-alongs, clapping, or moments when Danny directly addressed fans, the connection between the band and the audience was undeniable.
As the band played "For the First Time," the members thanked the audience and stepped offstage.
But Manila wasn’t ready to let them go just yet.
A unified chorus of fans began singing "For the First Time" on their own, their flashlights creating a sea of lights that filled the venue.
Touched by the moment, The Script returned for an encore, performing "Home Is Where the Hurt Is" and "Breakeven."

A FAREWELL TO REMEMBER
Before launching into its final song, "Hall of Fame," Danny took a moment to reflect on the meaning of the night.
“Manila, you guys are the stars of the show tonight,” he declared.
He then asked everyone to turn on their phone flashlights, explaining, “That represents you, your family, or where you came from tonight. Because we’re all under one roof.
“When you look around, you can’t tell what color anybody is, what sex anybody is, what religion anybody is—we’re all the same.”
He reminded the audience of the fleeting nature of life, adding, “Making moments like tonight are the reason why we’re alive.”
The song became a powerful anthem, uniting the crowd in one unforgettable moment.
As "Hall of Fame" echoed through the venue, fans sang at the top of their lungs, some with tears in their eyes.
The song’s inspiring message—about perseverance, passion, and leaving a legacy—felt particularly meaningful in the wake of Sheehan’s passing.
The song served as a reminder that even in loss, music has the power to bring people together.

Danny delivered one final message of gratitude.
“Guys, from the bottom of my heart, what a journey the last seventeen years have been,” he said, his voice filled with emotion.
Assuring the crowd that The Script would return, he promised, “It won’t be that long until we come back next time.”
Before leaving the stage, he shouted, “You guys are the biggest, the loudest, the best! We love you, we are The Script, all the way from Dublin, Ireland. Thank you! Good night!”
The Script once again left its mark on Manila, and if the night was any indication, Filipino fans will be eagerly waiting for its next return.
One thing is for sure—whenever they come back, Manila will be ready, louder and prouder than ever before.
