Saad niya: “My mom has always been protective when it comes to the people I date, so she was very cautious at first.
"But eventually, she saw that Jan had good intentions.
“As for Kuya Gabby, it took me a few months before introducing them, kasi I wanted to be sure about everything first.
“Both of them have been really supportive of our relationship. They’re happy seeing me in a healthier and happier space.”

HOW KYLIE AND JAN MET EACH OTHER
Lahad niya: “I met Jan around July 3, 2023. We matched on a dating app.
I really did my best to make a good impression.
“We first saw each other at a bar in Poblacion during a ball. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Why not come para ma-experience mo how the ball scene is in the Philippines?’
“My first impression of him? Super mahiyain. He barely spoke a word and I think his first impression of me was… mataray!”
Was it love at first sight?
Sagot ni Kylie: “On my end, yes. I didn’t expect to meet someone I was genuinely attracted to, both physically and emotionally.
“I’ve dated a few trans men before and I’ve always connected well with them. Pero si Jan, ibang klaseng manligaw.
“On our first date, bigla niya akong dinala sa NLEX para lang magkape! He would always take me to the most random, unexpected places."
Dagdag niya: “Meeting Jan taught me how to stand on my own.
"He really helped me become more independent. I feel like I’m in a much more peaceful and grounded place now.
“The LGBTQIA+ community has been so warm and welcoming.
"In fact, we were recently featured in Preview Magazine for their June Pride issue. It means a lot to be able to celebrate different forms of love.”

Gaano katagal na ang kanilang relasyon? May plano na ba silang magpakasal?
Si Jan na ba ang “The One” para sa kanya?
Ayon kay Kylie: “We’ve been together for almost two years now. Yes, we do have plans to get married.
"Pero for now, we’re not in a rush. We’re just enjoying our time together. I’m just waiting for Jan to be ready.
I wouldn’t be this confident celebrating our relationship if it didn’t feel real.
“My promise to him? To stay true to who I am.
"We love each other for who we are, including our differences.
“Legally, yes—it would be valid,” reaksiyon ni Kylie.
“But sadly, we wouldn’t be allowed to wear clothing that affirms our gender identity, especially in a traditional church setting.
“One of our biggest challenges would be starting a family.
"There’s still a lot of judgment, plus the medical process to have children isn’t easy or accessible. It’s something we’ve talked about deeply.”
