"I'm super prepared. When I was modeling already, I did gain a certain amount of notoriety and its' nothing new. I mean, everything has been thrown out of me from all of that—even more. Yeah, there's a lot of intrigues too in modeling ever since, so it was like, it's not new," says model turned actor Brent Javier.

Mapapanood ang special TV premiere on Sunday, August 17, right before SOP sa GMA-7 at magkakaroon ng red carpet premiere night that same day sa SM Megamall Cinema 6.

"I think I thought it was about time. I mean, I always had it on my mind. But I was not ready yet that time. But when they offered me to do a movie, it was possible venue for me to try. It's my time for me to try," lahad ni Brent sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

"I used to come here a lot when I was five years old. Every two years, I go back here. At the age of 11, I thought I was gonna play basketball here. So, I came back four years after. I tried and play basketball. Hindi nag-workout kasi may injuries ako. I broke my wrist, I broke my ankles, so I didn't recover fully.

"Back home in Canada, I used to play basketball. Then, when I was in a mall, I was approached by an agent to try out for commercial modeling. That was I think 2000. Hindi siya planned. I came here on vacation," kuwento ng model turned actor.

Hindi na nakatanggi si Brent na magsalita about his girlfriend na isang model at nagtatrabaho raw ngayon sa isang network (not ABS-CBN or GMA-7). One year and a half na raw sila.

"I'm not supposed to talk about her. My manager will get mad at me," pag-iwas niya.

"My parents, they will; but my sister, hindi. Her flight is before the premiere night."

How far will he go kung magpapa-sexy siya sa pelikula?

"I'll cross the bridge when I get there. But for now, I think with Mother Lily [Monteverde] and Miss Roselle [Monteverde-Teo] along with my manager, yeah, I'm a Regal baby. I'm not sure how many movies but I have a contract with them for two years.

"Before pa, there's a lot of offers. My first offer was sort of me going sexy, so I didn't accept. I was not really into it," sabi ni Brent.

"It's different. I don't know how to explain it but it's different. It's not the same," sabi niya.

Nag-undergo na ba siya ng acting workshop?

"There's one right now for ABS-CBN. ABS [talent] ako. I'm part of the show of Judy Ann [Santos] and Derek [Ramsay], yung Nurserye. They changed my role. Before I was on OB doctor, now I'm a psychiatrist."

"I practice. I speak Tagalog in that soap. Pero hindi ko pa kaya ngayon diretsong salita. Hindi ko pa kayang i-express ang sarili ko well," aniya.

Aware ba siya na mahihirapan siya na umusad ang kanyang showbiz career dahil sa kanyang language barrier?

"Yeah, I know it. But I'm really trying."

"I'm semi-retired," sagot niya. "I don't go to castings anymore so much. But I'm still getting called; like even sometimes if I don't go to casting, they still hire me. So if I'm already hired, then I don't have anything, I'll do it."

"I'm superprepared. When I was modeling already, I did gain a certain amount of notoriety and its' nothing new. I mean, everything has been thrown out of me from all of that—even more. Yeah, there's a lot of intrigues too in modeling ever since, so it was like, it's not new."

"No, but if I have some proposals... it sort of catches you. ‘Did you really say that to me?' I'm self-sufficient. I don't need help. But if I need help, I would ask my parents, I would not ask someone I don't know," saad ni Brent.
