“Kasi there were people… some people who are really meant for the industry, the showbiz industry, I think, for the show business.
“But we have a lot of housemates, even the Big Winners who went back to their regular lives.
“But I think the popularity and the fame that they got should help them get better opportunities outside—whether it’s in show business or other opportunities.
“A lot of them have jumpstarted their online persona, di ba?
“And that becomes source of income kasi nagkakaroon sila ng mga collaboration with brands and what-have-you.
“And we're happy, they’re happy with us.”
“Some were able to do businesses.”

NOT ALL PBB HOUSEMATES WILL SURVIVE IN SHOWBIZ
“But not everyone will survive it kasi some take time.”
“Maris [Racal], si Joshua [Garcia], they’ve waited for years before they really achieved certain level of kasikatan.”

MOST MEMORABLE PBB EDITIONS FOR DIREK LAUREN
“This one. Because it’s a collaboration. It’s really successful.”

Dagdag pa niya: “The first season is always memorable.
“Kim’s [Chiu] is also memorable.
“Bianca [Gonzales]-Melai’s [Cantiveros] edition is also memorable in my mind.
"In my head, on top of my head yung mga yun ang naaalala ko kaagad.
“I think lagi namang may memorable moment sa bawat season. But as a whole, ito yung mga naaalala ko kaagad."

WHAT DIREK LAUREN HAS LEARNED IN 20 YEARS OF PBB
“Mabuti tayong tao. There’s always goodness in every person. And I think you seek some guidance.
“I think also in a lot of teen edition, marami rin tayong nalaman na mga issues ng mga kabataan about parental issues, primordial issues, absentee parents because nag-aano sila.
“So, naghahanap talaga ng moral compass, ng guide. Kaya siguro si Big Brother is positively received kasi he has become a moral compass.
“He has taught… marami siyang naituturong lessons sa ating mga housemates.”
Pagsusuma niya sa PBB: “It’s not just an entertainment program. It’s really where you see people grow and become better people.”

PBB HOUSEMATES ARE PROTECTED
“Unang-una we make sure na walang magkakasakit kasi ma-i-stress kami niyan pag may magkakasakit.
"Walang masisirang pagkatao, di ba? They have to come out better. They know themselves better, they become stronger.
Ang isa pa umanong natutunan niya: “Online is very toxic. We’re good people but sometimes online can be very, very harsh. The bashing, sobra.
“We can only constantly remind people to be kind.”
