TUESDAY VARGAS: Suicide is a heavy topic to discuss
Bilang paggunita sa Suicide Prevention Month, ibinahagi ni Tuesday na hindi bago sa kanya ang usapin tungkol sa pagsuko sa buhay.
Mabuti na lamang daw at nalabanan niya ito.
Aniya: "MOST OF YOU WILL JUST SCROLL THROUGH THIS POST.
"That is ok. Suicide is a heavy topic to discuss.
"But I have to say, it took a lot from me to finally open up to the world and say that I have been through such a debacle and I was in it so deep I came very close to succeeding.
"What stopped me?"
Isang nakakamanghang pangyayari raw na nang nasadlak siya sa napakadilim na bahagi ng kanyang buhay ay literal siyang hinila siya ng Panginoon mula rito.
Noon daw, isa siya sa mga taong naniniwalang ang dasal ay para lamang sa mga banal.
Dagdag pa ni Tuesday, "It was such an amazing thing actually to be in a very dark place and be literally pulled out of it by God’s grace.
"You see, I was one of those people who thought that prayers were only for the truly holy ones.
"It is such a foreign concept to me to put my hands together and ask God for help whenever life hits me hard.
"But just as I was about to jump to my demise, the sky opened up and I felt a warmth rush over me.
"I cried my eyes out, stepped away from the balcony and onto my knees I prayed. 'Lord though people may have hurt me, life has given me so much to bear, I know your are still with me.'”
Kasunod daw ng pagkamulat niyang mali ang nasa isipan niya ang pagsira sa lahat ng kanyang mga sulat-pamamaalam at bumalik ng Pilipinas.
"I then ripped all my letters of goodbye, packed my bags and went back to the Philippines with a mission in hand."
Mensahe pa niya sa mga nasa kahalintulad niyang kalagayan noon: "To those of you who might be on the verge of ending it all, PLEASE STAY. Do not ever think that asking for help is a sign of weakness.
"Even in silence, in the grace of prayer, God knows how to heal you. So when words cant say what you feel, your heart will whisper to God that you need a rescue."
Payo niya sa lahat: "Everyone, let us be there for one another. Check on that one friend that is always smiling, that one friend that takes care of everyone.
"A phone call might save a life. #suicidepreventionmonth"
Noong nakaraang buwan, August 2025, sinabi na rin ni Tuesday ang hirap na kanyang pinagdaanan.
Kabilang na ito ang pagkaka-diagnose sa kanya ng autism, ang pakikipaglaban sa mental health issues, at ang pagiging single mother.
