Actress Anne Curtis opened up about her emotional farewell to It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, saying she will deeply miss portraying her character Mia as the ABS-CBN adaptation nears its finale.

The hit series, which also stars Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino, is set to air its final episode on October 17, 2025.

During ANKO’s Make Christmas Brighter event at Trinoma Mall on Friday, October 10, 2025, Anne described Mia as one of the most meaningful and beloved roles she has ever played.

"I love her as a person because she may be a bit feisty, pero sobra niyang lovable," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and Von Belinarion of TV5.

Anne elaborated on her affection for the character, "Parang, you understand that it's her inner child hurting and you just wanna hug her, embrace her, and understand her."

She added, "And I'm gonna miss portraying that. It was so much fun."

ANNE CURTIS ON CARLO AQUINO

The cast has earned widespread praise from fans for their compelling performances, but for Anne, it’s Carlo Aquino’s portrayal of Matmat that truly stands out — a performance she believes is worthy of an award.

She said, "You know, just like the original, I believe Carlo Aquino [would win an award]. Kasi sa original, ang nanalo ng award, yung original actor."

In the Korean original, actor Oh Jung-se earned widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Moon Sang-tae, winning Best Supporting Actor at both the APAN Star Awards and the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards — often regarded as the “Oscars of Korea.”

Anne concluded, "So I believe Carlo Aquino is worthy to win for his portrayal of Matmat."

The actress also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to viewers for their overwhelming support, noting how several scenes from the show have gone viral and sparked heartfelt conversations online.

Anne said: "Super thank you. You know, it's like, sobra, sobrang mahalaga para sa amin na masaya yung mga manonood, especially those who follow the original series.

"Parang lahat ng nababasa kong comments so far na parang, 'Galing!' Kuhang-kuha daw. Binigyan namin ng sarili nating flavor.

"Pati yung pag-ano daw... how it became Filipino throughout the family. And how it was portrayed. So, sobrang thank you."

TWO MAJOR FILM PROJECTS FOR ANNE

After the series wraps up, Anne shows no signs of slowing down with two major film projects already in the pipeline.

Fans can look forward to Buy Bust 2, directed by Erik Matti, and The Loved One, a romantic drama that reunites her with Jericho Rosales under the direction of Irene Villamor.

Anne shared: "I have two things I'm working on at the moment. One that I've been working on forever, the Erik Mati.

"Di pa namin natatapos pero patapos na rin yun.
