Veteran actress Lollie Mara passed away on October 17, 2025, her family confirmed in a Facebook post. She was 86.

Pumanaw na ang beteranang aktres na si Lollie (Loly) Mara noong Biyernes, October 17, 2025.

Siya ay 86.

Kinumpirma ng pamilya ni Lollie ang malungkot na balita sa pamamagitan ng official statement na inilathala sa Facebook account ng pumanaw na aktres nitong Sabado ng gabi, October 18.

Nakasaad dito: "Good evening everyone, this is Loly’s family.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gloria 'Loly' Mara.

"We are all heartbroken. Words cannot express how much our mom meant to us.

"She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, friend, and so much more to many. She was the strongest, most compassionate, and deeply loving woman we’ve ever known. Loly had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, heard, and cherished.

"Her presence lit up every room, and her warmth touched countless lives. She was truly loved by many, and her legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness will live on in all of us.

Kabilang sa nagpahayag ng pagdadalamhati sa pagpanaw ni Lollie ay ang beteranong direktor at chairperson ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) na si Joey Reyes.

Mensahe ni Direk Joey: "You have been part of so many of my television and film projects that you have practically become a regular fixture on my sets. Now it breaks my heart to find out that you have left us to return home to Our Father.

LOLLIE MARA'S ACTING CAREER

Si Lollie — na ang tunay na pangalan ay Gloria Pichel Mara — ay isinilang noong June 26, 1939.

Kapatid siya ng pumanaw na ring entertainment columnist at TV host na si Manny Pichel, at ina ng dating aktor na si Lorenzo Mara.

Dahil sa kanyang mestiza features, madalas gumanap si Lollie bilang mayamang karakter sa mga pelikula, teleserye, drama anthologies, at teatro.

Nagsimula ang kanyang acting career noong dekada '80.

Ilan sa mga tinampukan niyang pelikula ay Bagets (1984), Alabok Sa Ulap (1987), Biktima (1980), Iisa Pa Lamang (1992), Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo (1993), Forevermore (2002), Milan (2004), Shake Rattle & Roll X (2008), Praybeyt Bejamin (2011), at Ang Bagong Pamilya Ni Ponching (2016).

Nagwaging best supporting actress si Lorrie sa Cinemalaya noong 2016 para sa kanyang pagganap sa Ang Bagong Pamilya Ni Ponching. Ka-tie niya si Elizabeth Oropesa (I America).

Kabilang naman sa mga ginawa niyang teleserye ay Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas (2013), Maria Mercedes (2013-2014), Be Careful With My Heart (2013), Rhodora X (2014), Princess in the Palace (2016), at Kambal Karibal (2018).

Noong administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Fidel Ramos ay na-appoint si Lollie bilang head ng Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM).
