Naging emosyunal si Quezon City First District Representative Arjo Atayde nang tanungin ito tungkol sa pagsasangkot sa kanya at sa ama niyang si Art Atayde sa maanomalyang flood control projects ng pamahalaan.
Nakausap ng mga miyembro ng media ang actor-politician nang dumating siya sa tanggapan ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) sa Taguig City ngayong Martes ng umaga, November 25, 2025.
Inimbitahan ng ICI si Arjo para mailahad niya ang panig laban sa paratang ng mag-asawang contractor na sina Curlee at Sarah Discaya na kabilang siya sa mga kongresistang tumanggap ng komisyon mula sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

Pahayag ni Arjo tungkol sa akusasyon sa kanilang mag-ama: “It’s all hearsay po kasi until now, I said, baka mas mabuti po bago po magturo, e, ibigay po muna sa akin ang ebidensiya laban sa akin.
“Because up to this point, since September 8, they haven’t given out anything against me or my father.
“And my father is also willing to go through the investigation.
"Wala po kaming itinatago, hindi ako magtatago, hindi ako iiwas, hindi ako lilipad ng ibang bansa.
“I am here to thoroughly go to the investigation to fight for my innocence and to…”
Dahil muntik nang umiyak si Arjo ay inihinto na ng mga mamamahayag ang pagtatanong sa kanya.

INVITATION FROM ICI
Bago naging madamdamin ang pahayag ni Arjo, ikinuwento nito ang mga pangyayari nang matanggap niya ang imbitasyon ng ICI.
Lahad niya: “I think a week or two weeks ago, I wrote a letter para po ma-fast track din po ang proseso. I’m sure everyone wants an answer as well.
“I told the people I’ll answer at the proper forum at the proper time — and this is it po.
“I also have my affidavit and I am ready to answer po. I will lay the cards in the table, fast lang po.
"I don’t wanna invalidate the feelings of people towards the gravity of the situation if I deny so I had to gather all the evidence backing the allegations against me to prove my innocence po.”
Nilinaw ni Arjo na ang ICI ang nagtanong sa kanya kung nais niyang isang executive session ang mangyari.
Saad niya: “They asked me po before the guidelines of live streaming came out.
"They asked me po because as I said, I volunteered about two weeks ago when I wrote a letter and they asked either live stream or not.
“With all respect to the Commission, they asked naman po.”
