Andrea Brillantes is perfectly fine “third-wheeling” or even “fifth-wheeling” with friends and family this holiday season, as she’s happy being single for now.
“Hindi ko priority now,” she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press in an interview on November 19, 2025.

The conversation happened during the opening of Guess’ flagship store at SM Mall of Asia, where Andrea was officially introduced as the brand’s first-ever Filipino ambassador.
She even joked, “Sa family ko, basta ako na lang yung wheel… Wheel lang ako pero okay lang.”

When asked if she’s currently paired with anyone, Andrea replied, “Wala, but it’s okay.”
She clarified that romance isn’t on her radar at the moment, saying, “Hindi din kasi yun yung iniisip ko. Hindi talaga yun yung priority ko ngayon.”
For potential suitors who might feel intimidated by her, Andrea had a clear message: confidence is key.
“Kung na-intimidate sila, di ko yun fault. So, like, kung gusto nila talaga ako, tapangan niyo. E di, ibig sabihin maso-short list na kung sino ba talaga yung the one for me, ganun.”
She added, “Tapang-tapang ko, e… So kailangan… yun ang natutunan ko, kailangan ko ng mas malakas sa akin, I think.”
Andrea was rumored to be dating former basketball player Sam Fernandez.
However, in a previous interview, Andrea clarified that she is "not yet in a relationship," explaining that she’s currently in a “dating” phase rather than being in an official relationship.

ANDREA BRILLANTES: REKONEK
With love life off Andrea's priority list, she is now focused on her upcoming project — her first-ever Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Rekonek.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Gerald Anderson, Bela Padilla, Gloria Diaz, Charlie Dizon, Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi, Alexa Miro, and siblings Cassy and Mavy Legaspi, among others.
While Andrea did not reveal much about the storyline or her role, she hinted that the character she portrays is unlike any she has taken on before.
She said: "Nag-focus ako mag-film ng movies. Meron din po akong entry for MMFF ngayon, iyon yung Rekonek. So ayun siya, excited din ako for that.
"That's my first MMFF film. And super happy ako sa pag-film nun kasi yun yung first role ko na hindi ako ganun ka-dramatic... as in, please panoorin niyo."
The actress added, "It's a Christmas family film pero umiikot yung story sa anong mangyayari kapag nawalan ng internet."
Drawing inspiration from the premise of Rekonek, Andrea was asked what she would do if a world without internet became reality.
“As Andrea Brillantes, mai-stress ako,” she admitted.
“Paano yung mga posting ko? Kukulitin ako ng mga brands sa mga commitment ko sa kanila.”
Still, Andrea shared that she would likely use the time to reconnect with loved ones and enjoy simple, offline activities. For her, the absence of the internet could be an opportunity to slow down and focus on real-life interactions — something she values deeply.
“As Blythe, ay, masaya ako! Masaya ako walang internet. Tahimik.
"Oo, lalabas ako. Makiki-reconnect ako with people talaga.”
She elaborated further: “As Blythe, di ako ma-post. Ma-post lang ako may close friends lang ganyan.
"Pero hindi din [masyado]... May mga private account ko, of course, but I don’t really use them.”
