"Masaya kami for each other kapag may mga naging achievements kami. We uplift each other. We inspire each other.
"Like, he’s happy na nagtuturo ako ngayon sa kolehiyo."
"The relationship now is better," proud na sabi ni Bong. "Stronger and more secure compared to when we’re starting."
Nag-iiba ba ang dynamics along the way?
"Yes," pagsang-ayon ni Bong. "Nag-iiba, kasi we grow as people.
"We always talk and give our full love and trust to each other," sagot ni Bong.
Aniya, "In 2010, I joined PAGCOR as assistant vice-president of the entertainment department. Until I retired as vice-president in 2023."

BONG QUINTANA ON ENTERING THE ACADEME WORLD
Faculty member siya ng College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) sa Eulogio Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) sa Sta. Mesa, Manila.
"I teach first year to third year students. I haven’t handled fourth year students yet.
“I never thought I’d join the academe. But I always have the interest in sharing my ideas and experiences to friends and staff," kuwento ni Bong.
Lahad pa ni Bong: "Nobody pushed me to be in the academe.
"But somehow I think that Boy played a very big part in inspiring me and motivating me to share the knowledge and experiences I have.
"I came from the hospitality and tourism industry.
"It was my first full-time job at 21 years old. It was a phase in my life that, until today, would bring back excitement in my life," nakangiting saad niya.

REWARDS AND CHALLENGES OF BEING A TEACHER
Sagot ni Bong: “When I see my students learn from my life experiences I share with them.
“The reward is when I get to inspire them to do the best and be the best.”
Ano naman ang challenges?
"There are a lot of challenges as well, especially sa mga facilities sa school.
"Challenges also sa ibang mga students who cannot make it to class kasi galing sa trabaho or walang pamasahe. This breaks my heart."

ON FACILITATING A PUBLIC SPEAKING SEMINAR

Tourism Management, BSED English, The Chronicle, The Herald, at ilang piling elementary pupils.

“It marked the first regional extension project for my institute, EARIST. I served as the project leader and the resource person during the seminar.
"We have built great teamwork, which made the recent academic venture a success. I’m truly grateful to them," saad ni Bong.
"Boy always reminds me to teach from the heart and carry my stories with me. He says never to lose grip on reality and to hold fast to my core because when you do, then, you cannot be broken."
"Right now, I am preparing for my final defense in my doctorate in Business Management and working hard to graduate in July 2026," pagtatapos niya.
