Ang pagbibiro ni Carla Abellana tungkol sa kinahinatnan ng pagpapakasal nila noon ni Tom Rodriguez ang patunay na nalampasan na niya ang isang malungkot na bahagi ng kanyang buhay.
Sa panayam niya sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda ngayong Miyerkules, Enero 14, 2026, natatawa niyang sinagot nang walang pag-aalinlangan ang tanong na, “What are you looking forward to?”

Sagot ni Carla: “As a married woman, as a wife, sabi ko nga po, nagdyo-joke ako, so far we’re married two weeks.
"So, kaunti na lang, ma-beat ko yung record ko dati.
"Kung dati, nagtagal ito seven weeks lang, ngayon five na weeks, mabi-beat ko na yung sarili kong record.
“So, looking forward po na, at least ngayon, ma-experience ko po siya — whether it’s the honeymoon stage, whether it’s a challenge na dumaan.
“Whatever it is, that’s part of getting married. Experiencing married life for the first time, mas dun po ako excited na how will it play out.”
Unang ikinasal si Carla Abellana sa aktor na si Tom Rodriguez noong October 23, 2021. Pero makalipas lamang ng halos tatlong buwan, noong January 2022, ay nakumpirma ang kanilang paghihiwalay.

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, nagkuwento rin si Carla tungkol sa asawa nitong si Dr. Reginald Kristian Santos, na kanyang first love at naging karelasyon niya noong high school students sila.
Lahad ng aktres: “I was in first year and he was in fourth year high school but we went to the same school sa O.B. Montessori Greenhills.
"So, first boyfriend, first love. I was in first year, he was in fourth year.
"So, naging kami po and nagtagal po kami, mga more or less two years at the time.
“Nag-break po kami because he actually had to really focus on his studies kasi he was serious about med school.
"So talagang, in all fairness, napaka-brave po niya, kinailangan po niyang pumili between our relationship and med school."
Inilarawan ni Carla si Reginald bilang isang mapagmahal at pribadong tao.
Saad niya: “He’s a very private person, non-showbiz. Very serious.
"He’s a professional, he’s a doctor po.
"He’s currently not full-time practicing but he’s managing, he’s running the hospital that he works at. He’s a chief medical officer.
“He’s very funny, very aspirational. Can be serious at times and strict, minsan masungit, but pagdating lang naman yon sa pagiging professional.
“Of course, outside of work, he’s a very quirky person, masayahin, very helpful, very calm, very loving.”

THE CONTROVERSIAL SLAB CAKE
Pribadong-pribado ang pag-iisang dibdib nina Carla at Reginald na nangyari noong Disyembre 27, 2025 sa Alfonso, Cavite.
Pero nagkaroon ito ng kontrobersiya dahil sa mga pumuna sa kanilang wedding cake. Pero ayon sa aktres, masaya sila sa pinag-usapan na slab cake.
Kuwento ni Carla: “We had two, one was round po with strawberries, it was a strawberry cheesecake and then, the slab cake.
"Parang elongated, a slab na isang layer lang po siya, which is actually uso po kung tutuusin. If you look at trends, 2026 trends in the U.S.
“So, nauuso po siya ngayon and we like the idea kasi fully edible and we can serve the guests a wedding cake.
“We liked it. Ang importante, masarap at nagustuhan.
"Gusto namin, masaya kami dun sa cake. Everybody got a slice."
Dagdag pa niya: “On a high pa kami from the wedding, sobrang happy and excited pa.
"So, pag ganoong may masasabi, di ba, opinion or what, criticisms, parang it doesn’t really affect us and it’s territorial.
"Ang importante, masaya kami. Nagustuhan namin siya."
