Inamin ni James Reid, 32, sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na ang girlfriend na si Issa Pressman, 30, ang inspirasyon sa karamihan ng kanyang kanta.
"All of them. I can't help it. I think it's the strongest emotion I have right now," paglalarawan niya sa pagmamahal niya para sa nobya.
"Our relationship has been an incredible ride.
"The love is growing more and more every day, so thats what i really write about. I think most of it is inspired by her."
Ilan sa mga dine-dedicate niyang kanta para kay Issa ay ang "Pahinga" at "Blessed."
Taong 2023 nang magsimulang maging bukas si James tungkol sa kanila ni Issa.
Paano nila pinagtitibay ang kanilang relasyon?
"I think it's something two people reach some time in their lives. Just choose each other every day," sagot ng actor-singer.
Sabay ipinaliwanag niya na hindi niya hinahayaang manaig ang pride kapag mayroon silang di pagkakaunawaan.
"I think I wrote it in one of my songs, 'Pahinga.' Ikaw ang mahalaga kaysa maging tama. Choosing each other over being right or over a fight.
"Just waking up and choosing each other every day."
Malaking bagay din para kay James ang suporta na binibigay nila ni Issa sa isa't isa.
Sa kaso niya, suportado raw ni Issa ang upcoming teleserye nila ni Kathryn Bernardo, ang Someone, Someday.
Ani James: "She's incredibly supportive. In fact, she comes up with a lot of ideas, with my character and how I can make it work.
"There’s no weirdness or anything. We're all professionals. Acting is our job. We take it very seriously."

Pero kahit abala si James sa paggawa ng serye, may quality time pa rin sila ni Issa.
Ibinahagi ni James sa PEP na nakasama niya si Issa sa isang camping trip noong Valentine's Day.
"It was my first time doing camp at Daraitan River. Super fun. It was secluded away from the city, and it was just the two of us."
Wala raw bathroom sa pinuntahan nila pero na-enjoy daw nila.
"Nature trip, super fun, I recommend it," masayang sabi pa ni James.
Ano ang Valentine gift niya kay Issa?
"It was three different types of earrings that was like beaded, tribal earrings," sagot ni James.

JAMES REID ON EMPOWERING SONGWRITERS IN THE OPM SCENE
Nakapanayam ng PEP si James sa sidelines ng media launch ng Sony Music Philippines Publishing, na layuning palakasin ang proteksyon at reach ng Filipino songwriters sa international scene.
Bilang singer-songwriter, excited si James na mas sumigla ang paggawa ng OPM songs sa bansa.
"I think this is a very exciting time. I did spend a lot of time in L.A. to see how the songwriter culture works.
"It's something songwriters can look for really a career and hopefully something we can bring here.
"Music has never been the best income for artists. But I think with the coming Sony Music Publishing, it can open up more avenues and opportunities in the Philippines.
