“I think it’s a deeply concerning issue that up until now that women are treated as objects.

“It’s pervasive in our society. Sadly, even with the recent news happening…” sagot ni Ahtisa sa contract signing niya sa Sparkle GMA Artist Center nitong March 10, 2026.

Saad niya: “I think it all starts with the perfect way of calling it out, making sure that it doesn’t pass. Yung hindi mo siya papabayaang mangyari lang.

“Kasi pag pinabayaan mo, you’re also part of the problem.

“So calling it out is a great way to do it, to let people know that it’s not okay to do that.”

Ani Ahtisa: “Just put yourself in that situation. Kapag ikaw yung sinabihan, how would you feel?

“I think it’s not okay to make people feel a certain way, especially with the protection of online.

“You think that the person reading it is not a person anymore. But sadly, they are people. They have feelings and they have lives.

“And sometimes the things you say actually affect their lives, so please be careful what you say online.”

AHTISA’S VENTURE INTO SHOWBIZ

“I know that I’m gonna carry the same values I had when I was competing internationally, so I’ll bring hard work and dedication, and hopefully that’s enough recipe for success in showbiz,” deklarasyon ni Ahtisa.

“Zero preparation. Pumasok talaga ako dito, I’ve never been acting, I’ve never been into an acting workshop.

“I don’t know what I’m getting myself into but it’s honestly a surprise that I’m excited to see.”

Pagbubunyag pa niya: “Little bit of info, I was actually supposed to sign last year but I decided to do Miss Universe Philippines.

“And it feels right to be here now at this time. It feels like the perfect timing because now, I’m opening my doors to new opportunities, to new things.

And I can’t ask for a better family than GMA.”
