Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin nababawi ng cosplayer at aktres na si Myrtle Sarrosa ang kanyang cellphone na nawala habang ginaganap ang ToyCon (The Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention) sa SMX Convention Center sa Pasay City.
May dalawang araw na itong nawawala mula nang matuklasan ni Myrtle noong June 13, 2026.
Nag-alok siya ng PHP30,000 sa taong magbabalik ng kanyang telepono.
Pero tila nag-iba na ang daloy ng kuwento.
Hindi na raw interesado sa nasabing halaga ang may hawak ng kanyang telepono.
Nais daw nito ng karagdagang reward na hindi pa maidetalye ni Myrtle dahil kasalukuyan pa silang nakikipagnegosasyon.

MYRTLE says another cosplayer also lost her phone
Sa pinakabagong update ni Myrtle sa Instagram kagabi, June 14, sinabi niyang nauwi sa habulan ang paghahanap sa kanyang nawawalang telepono.
"(Update 2) My phone got stolen during Toycon and apparently the person doesn't want the P30,000 reward anymore... they are asking for more.
"After Toycon, naging habulan ang ganap to find the phone," sabi ng cosplayer.
Hindi lang daw siya ang nawalan ng telepono sa ToyCon kundi pati kapwa niya cosplayer mula sa Indonesia.
Lahad ni Myrtle, "But before I continue the story, I just want to give everyone a heads up. Another international cosplayer from Indonesia, Nekonoikatsu, also lost her phone today.
"Because of that, I'm starting to wonder if guests and cosplayers are specifically being targeted. Since when you're in costume, it's difficult to constantly check your things while meeting people kasi usually our priority is to make others happy during the event.
"As I write this, I hope you can also help her find her phone."

MYRTLE: "So we got into the car and chased it."
Nang nalaman daw ni Myrtle na nawala ang kanyang cellphone, kaagad daw nila itong ipinaalam sa staff. Tinulungan naman daw sila.
Nang nagpunta raw sila sa concierge para isangguni ang pangyayari, natuklasan nilang hindi lang pala sila ng Indonesian cosplayer ang biktima kundi marami pa.
"Yesterday at the event, I was so busy meeting everyone that I didn't realize my phone was missing until around 5PM.
"I honestly wanted to enjoy the convention while trying not to panic. After getting off the stage we reported the incident sa staff and they immediately assisted us.
"However, when my team got to the SMX concierge, ika-9th na kami sa pila ng mga nagrereport ng lost items."
Tinulungan daw siya kaagad ng kanyang kapatid na lalaki gamit ang backup phone niya upang i-activate ang tracking features nito.
At dun na nila nalamang mula sa SM Mall of Asia sa Pasay City ay nakarating ang kanyang cellphone sa Ever Gotesco, Commonwealth, sa Quezon City.
Parang suspense-thriller movie na raw ang nangyari dahil sa habulang nangyari.
Saad niya: "I felt a huge sense of urgency to get access to my backup phone at home. My brother immediately helped me activate the emergency lock and tracking features. At ayun… The phone tracker appeared in Ever Gotesco, Commonwealth.
"My dad, who had literally just gotten out of the hospital, got into the car to help me look for it.
"From MOA, punta agad sa Ever Gotesco. So there I was... still dressed as Chandra around Ever Gotesco in full cosplay. Since sobrang recognizable ko nag sabi ang family ko sila na mag ask around para discreet.
"At one point we rang the phone. A girl answered Hello. Then immediately dropped the call. Feeling ko the person was around the area when she heard na may nag hahanap ng One Piece phone na may SB19 Signature (my phone had a distinct blue autograph sa likod ni Ken and Pablo).
"A few minutes later, the phone started moving. So we got into the car and chased it.
"For over an hour, hinahabol namin sila through Commonwealth, Fairview, and Mindanao Avenue almost to SM Fairview."
Nagkaroon daw ng pag-asa si Myrtle na ma-recover ang nawawalang telepono dahil parang ang lapit na nila, base sa tracking device, sa may hawak ng telepono.
Pero bigla raw nagpatay ng telepono ang may hawak ng kanyang cellphone.
"There were moments na we were only a few vehicles away from whoever had it. As in dikit na talaga. Then the phone started heading back to Ever Gotesco.
"We followed it and immediately sought assistance from the security. I honestly thought we were about to recover it. Kasi katabi na namin siya sa tracker.
"But as we used the ring feature... the person turned the phone off. The location froze. The tracker stopped moving. The phone suddenly went offline."

MYRTLE: "Sobrang lungkot ko na."
Magsasarado na daw ang mall at wala pa daw silang mahagilap na paraan kung paano mabawi ang kanyang telepono.
Noong oras na iyon, nilukob na raw ng kalungkutan si Myrtle dahil sa dami ng alaalang naka-save sa kanyang telepono.
Hindi raw niya ito nagawan ito ng back-up files dahil sa sunud-sunod na pangyayari sa kanyang buhay.
Pagpapatuloy niya: "The mall was already closing and I was still sitting there trying to figure out what to do next.
"Sobrang lungkot ko na. All I could think about were the memories inside that phone.
"And yes, I could've backed everything up. But this past month has been incredibly heavy for me. My Lola passed away. My dad was hospitalized.
"And honestly, I just hadn't gotten around to backing up hundreds of gigabytes of files kasi I’ve always shot my stuff in Raw.
"Including some of my last memories with my Lola before she passed."
Hindi pa rin daw nawalan ng pag-asa si Myrtle dahil kahit nakapatay na ang telepono, patuloy silang nagpapadala ng mensahe dito bilang pagbabakasakali.
At hindi naman daw sila nabigo.
Pero nakaramdam daw sila ng kakaiba mula sa taong may hawak ng kanyang telepono.
Sana raw ay mali lamang ang kanilang kutob na piniperahan sila ng taong ito.
Pero, hindi raw muna niya ito maaaring ipaalam sa publiko dahil nagnenegosasyon pa sila.
Pagbabahagi ni Myrtle: "We continued trying to contact my number. And eventually… shems! Nag reply.
"At first, I thought na finally may hope to get my phone back. But unfortunately... Hindi siya ganon.
"I can't share everything yet because we're still hoping to continue communicating with the person who currently has the phone.
"But let's just say... it doesn't feel like the goal is simply returning the phone anymore. Right now, it feels like the goal is to get more money.
"Hopefully I'm wrong. Hopefully they still choose to do the right thing. Kasi as I mentioned kahapon sa post. If genuinely they wanted to return it, I have no ill emotions and open ako to give the reward.
"I’ll update agad soon pero Prayers na lang muna na maging mabuting tao siya."
Nagpasalamat naman si Myrtle sa isang phone company na nagpadala sa kanya ng pansamantalang teleponong magagamit gayundin sa mga tumulong sa kanya noong ToyCon.
