Members of P-Pop boy group BGYO expressed their heartfelt gratitude to fans following the successful release of their newest EP, On Demand.

Composed of Gelo Rivera, Akira Morishita, JL Toreliza, Mikki Claver, and Nate Porcalla, the group first mounted their On Demand: EP Launch! showcase at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on June 6, 2026.

The members later spoke to the media during their EP press conference held on June 10, 2026, at the ABS-CBN ELJ Communications Center in Quezon City, where they reflected on the overwhelming support they received from fans, also known as ACEs.

BGYO ON FANS' OVERWHELMING SUPPORT

Mikki shared how meaningful it was to see both longtime supporters and new listeners show up for them.

He said: "Very happy because, you know, hindi naman sobrang tagal... Pero it's medyo matagal na rin since yung last EP natin and yung makita namin na nag-support online and of course din sa MOA, sobrang happy kami nang makita.

"Kahit yung mga napapadaan lang, nanood, they stayed to watch our performance. And we are really grateful na madami kaming nakikitang positive comments online when it comes to our songs.

"And nakakatuwa talaga na nahihirapan sila pumili nung pinaka-favorite song.

"So, thank you so much ACEs and to the new ACEs, sa mga supporters natin, we love you guys."

Nate echoed the same excitement, noting how fulfilling it is to see fans connect with their music.

He said, "We're so happy to see that everybody loves the EP as much as we do. And everybody is streaming so much because we are streaming din po."

Gelo, for his part, emphasized how proud the group has always been of the project—even before its release.

He shared: "Ako, super happy rin kasi before pa lang ma-release itong EP na 'to, sobrang confident tsaka proud kami dito sa EP talaga.

"And by the time na napakinggan na ng mga ACEs at mga iba't ibang tao, we're so happy na parang parehas na tayo ng pinapakinggan.

"And yeah, we're just so happy na ibang vibe talaga itong On Demand."

Akira took the opportunity to thank everyone who helped make the showcase possible, from the press to their fellow artists.

He told the press: "Thankful din po kami sa lahat po ng, you know, about sa press, management, sa buong BGYO for making this possible, the showcase po.

"And siyempre doon sa ibang artists din na nanood, and sa mga artists po na nag-perform. Maraming salamat po. And ayun, we love you."

Meanwhile, JL highlighted the encouraging reception the EP has received since its launch.

"Super thankful din kami kasi after nung EP launch, sobrang ganda nung feedback nung ACEs at sa lahat ng mga nakarinig ng bagong EP namin," he said.

BGYO: ON DEMAND

During the press conference, BGYO also opened up about the creative journey behind their third EP, revealing how the project came together over time.

Mikki and Nate shared that several of the tracks were actually co-written during a music camp they attended in 2024, laying the groundwork for the group's latest release.

According to Mikki, the EP builds on the creative momentum of their previous project while showcasing a more mature sound and fresh musical direction.

He said: "Well, from Headlines, it's still similar because some of these songs came from the same music camp that Mickey and I were in.

"So we released On Demand coming off of that same energy and the same vibes as Headlines. But, of course, with something new."

He added that the EP is designed to showcase diverse emotions across its seven tracks, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in each story.

Mikki said, "And this EP is seven different stories with seven different emotions where you guys, the listeners, are our main character and we are your leading men."

THE CHALLENGES

Despite the excitement surrounding the project, the group admitted that working on On Demand came with its own set of challenges.

Akira candidly shared how one track pushed some members out of their comfort zones, particularly because of its fast-paced lyrics and all-English delivery.

He narrated: "Merong mga challenging songs, like 'Life's Too Short.' Kasi medyo fast-pacing siya tapos English.

"I mean, nag-i-English naman kami pero hindi totally full English, kami [ni JL and Gelo].

"Pero yun, naging challenging siya, pero at the same time fulfilling. Kasi nung narining na namin yung final result, maganda yung song and bumagay siya sa BGYO.

"Perfect din siya dun sa lineup, doon sa parang gusto naming talakayin kasi yun na parang series. So, kuwento talaga siya."

Gelo credited their coaches for helping them overcome these hurdles during recording sessions.

He said: "And ako, siyempre with the help of our coaches din, Coach Jerwin, siyempre habang nagre-record kami, andiyan din to guide yung mga taga-America na nagre-record with us.

"And yeah, mas napadali. Tsaka kung anong naririnig niyo ngayon, sana hindi na nahalata dun yung challenges."

Mikki added that refining certain parts of the songs required extra effort to make them sound natural.

He said: "May mga kailangan lang talagang pagpraktisan talaga na parts para, you know, mas natural. At hindi awkward pakinggan.

"So, yeah, that was the hardest part para sa EP."

Apart from recording, JL pointed out that choreography development was another major challenge for the group. He noted how meticulous they are in ensuring their performances resonate with audiences.

So, nakagawa kami ng ilang version.

"Minsan tumatagal kami ng isang buong araw para mag-isip lang kung okay ba to, even yung kahit chorus lang...

"Tumatagal kami dun para alam namin na pag ni-release namin, pag sinayaw na namin on stage, magugustuhan talaga at babagay din doon sa song itself."

BGYO: FIVE-YEAR GROWTH

BGYO also looked back on their five-year journey, sharing how their music has evolved alongside their growth as individuals and artists.

For Nate, the group's maturity naturally found its way into their sound, allowing them to explore more refined themes, emotions, and musical styles.

He said, "I think our music evolved... has matured just as we have as a group, as people. We've matured together and our music followed."

Mikki added that their changing musical tastes and influences over the years also shaped their current direction.

He said, "And you know, as we grow older din, yung mga taste din namin nagbabago. And yung mga pinapakinggan na artist, inspirasyon, nagbabago.

"And madami pa kami napupulot na mga ideas, mga ganun. Nakakatulong talaga siya sa development namin as artists."

As for what’s next, Gelo shared a simple but ambitious dream for the group: "Tour talaga sa buong mundo. And more and more music pa, tsaka projects pa."
