Actor Epy Quizon gave a special shout-out to a Grab driver who returned his mobile phone after he accidentally left it behind in the vehicle.
Epy shared the story in his Instagram post on Friday, July 10, 2026, accompanied by a photo of him and driver Jhun Diaz.
"I accidentally left my phone in his car. I had no way to contact him, and he had no way to contact me.
"Instead of simply leaving, he stayed near the area where he had dropped me off, hoping I’d realize my phone was missing," wrote Epy.
It took Epy three hours to realize that his phone was missing. His daughter and partner then tried calling the device, which Jhun answered before driving back to return it.

HONEST PEOPLE EXIST
But more than simply returning his phone, what stayed with Epy was Jhun’s demeanor when he stepped out of the car.
"What I’ll remember most wasn’t just that he gave my phone back—it was the smile on his face. There was no annoyance, no irritation about the inconvenience. Just genuine happiness that he could help," recalled Epy.
"Acts of honesty like this deserve to be celebrated. Thank you, Mr. Jhun Diaz, for your kindness, integrity, and compassion. People like you restore our faith in humanity."
The incident also made Epy realize one thing: “Good people are still everywhere.”

Meanwhile, one of Epy’s followers pointed out that the incident happened on the death anniversary of his father, the legendary comedian Dolphy.

Dolphy passed away on July 10, 2012, at the age of 83.
