American singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson was delighted to see a group of Filipinos passionately singing her hit song "Lost In Your Eyes" during a karaoke session.

Released in 1989, the single from her best-selling album Electric Youth remains one of Debbie's biggest hits and continues to be a Pinoy favorite.

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the 1980s pop icon took to Facebook to share a video of herself playing the piano while reacting to the clip and singing along.

She also tagged The Voice Generations finalist Fedrianne Quilantang Villanueva, one of the singers featured in the viral video.

In the caption of her post, Debbie wrote: "OMG my songwriter heart is so happy! Chef's Kiss Fedrianne Quilantang Villanueva and friends [emoji]

"Next time I'm in the Philippines [emoji] I wanna be invited to the party! But for now ... I'm crashing virtually [emoji]."

Fedrianne was equally thrilled after discovering that Debbie herself had shared their video on her official Facebook page.

Reposting the singer's post, Fedrianne wrote: "WHHHAATTTT!!! DEBBIE GIBSON??? [emojis] THANK YOU SO MUCH [emojis]"

The heartwarming exchange delighted Debbie's fans, many of whom praised the Filipinos' rendition of the classic hit and the singer's warm response to their performance.

One fan pointed out the song's lasting popularity in the Philippines, writing: "Filipinos love your song. They used to sing it on every occasion whenever there's this thing called videoke."

An admirer simply commented, "I love you Debbie Gibson."

There was also a Facebook user who mentioned the singer's enduring appeal among Filipino listeners: "Your legacy is safe with Filipinos, my lady."

Meanwhile, a fan invited Debbie to visit the country during the holiday season: "Come around December, Debbie, to experience Philippine Christmas!"

Debbie last performed in the Philippines on April 26, 2024, when she staged her Electric Youth 35th Anniversary Show at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

The singer has visited the country several times over the years. Her first major Manila concert took place on July 11 and 12, 1991, at the Araneta Coliseum.

In October 2010, she returned to the country as a spokesperson and advocate for Children International, visiting underserved communities in Metro Manila and Quezon City.

She returned on September 15, 2018, for a throwback concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena that she co-headlined with fellow ’80s pop star—and former rival—Tiffany.
