Sarah Geronimo marked her birthday by spending precious time with her parents—proof that their relationship has improved six years after her controversial wedding to actor Matteo Guidicelli.
On Saturday, July 25, the day she turned 38, the singer-actress shared a video on Instagram featuring behind-the-scenes moments from a recording session with her father, Delfin Geronimo.

"This is a gift to myself, to everyone and my father. To celebrate him and our love for music," Sarah wrote in the caption.
One of the clips also captured Sarah sharing a sweet moment with her mother, Divine.

A DREAM COME TRUE FOR FATHER AND DAUGHTER
Sarah described the duet with her father as "a dream come true."
She said: "Sobra akong masayang-masaya dahil I got to do this with the dearest person in my life, siyempre, ang tatay at nanay ko. Kasama ko ang tatay ko ngayon, sharing beautiful music."

Delfin, meanwhile, did his best to keep his emotions in check while performing a father-daughter duet with Sarah, backed by professional musicians.
The two recorded a cover of the Jose Mari Chan classic, "Refrain," which was released in 1973.
"Sobrang proud ako sa anak ko kasi siguro, sa kanya lang ako nakakakuha ng lakas ng loob," shared Delfin.
"Sobrang masaya ko saka masyado akong na-touch sa mga kanta. Habang kumakanta kami, para akong maiiyak, eh."
Despite his nerves—and his insistence that he is not a professional singer—Delfin earned high praise from Sarah, who cheered him on after their performance: “Magaling, Daddy. Mahusay. Mahusay, Daddy. Congrats, Daddy.”
"Salamat. Walang bola iyan?" Delfin asked Sarah.
"Wala, wala," Sarah replied, smiling.
REACTIONS FROM FELLOW STARS
Sarah's followers on Instagram, particularly her showbiz colleagues, couldn't help but feel touched and happy after seeing the family reunion.
Many fans took the family gathering as a positive sign that Sarah and her parents have reconciled, following earlier reports that their relationship had become strained when the singer-actress married Matteo in 2020 against her parents’ wishes.
The reconciliation may have happened earlier, but until this post, the star had not been publicly seen with her parents.
