SB19 is Philippines' newest tourism ambassadors

The King of P-pop met with Pinoy fans in LA ahead of Lollapalooza music fest.

Department of Tourism (DOT) just named SB19 as Philippines' newest tourism ambassadors.

In an official statement posted on DOT's Instagram account, the agency highlighted how the King of P-pop consistently brings Filipino "talent, creativity, and culture" to the inetrnational stage.

It partly read: "From their homegrown beginnings to global stages, SB19 and A’TIN continue to show just how far Filipino pride can go.

"Now, they’re inviting their global community to come closer to home and experience the Philippines — our culture, cuisine, heritage, destinations, and the unmistakable warmth of Filipino homecoming."

Comprised of Pablo Nase, Stell Ajero, Josh Cullen, Felip Suson, and Justin de Dios, SB19 accepted their new roles with much pride.

The boys were photographed holding miniature boxes dubbed as "galingbayan boxes" to showcase how they're ready to bring Filipino pride to the global stage.

Their group statement read: "Representing the Philippines on and off the stage.

"We're proud to begin this new chapter as the Philippines' newest tourism ambassadors.

"From the Philippines to the world!"

This announcement came out exactly four days before they take center stage as the first Filipino group to perform at Lollapalooza on July 30 at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois.

SB19 POP-UP IN LA

Ahead of the concert, Pablo, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin met their fans at the SB19 pop-up store in Los Angeles featuring exclusive merch.

It was also a meet-and-greet event were fans were able to have their very own galingbayan boxes personally signed by the boys.

Photos from SB19's IG showed some highlights from the event including SB19's photo-up with a miniature jeepney, a proudly Pinoy symbol, in front of the venue.
