Chef JL Cang is the latest contender booted out of Celebrity Duets 2. He thanked everyone as he made his exit. "Okey lang po yun. Actually, nag-enjoy po talaga ako. At saka at least, nakita po ninyo akong kumanta sa TV."

Chef JL Cang was the third contender to be booted out from Celebrity Duets after Melanie Marquez, and fitness guru Cory Quirino left the show. He got the lowest number of votes after he was announced as one of the bottom three contenders.

JL was joined in the bottom group by Fil-Brit soccer player Phil Younghusband and comedian-politician Joey Marquez.

Regine Velasquez, who was hosting the show solo tonight, divided the six remaining contenders into two groups. Beauty queen Carlene Aguilar, MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, and fashion designer JC Buendia were asked to stand on her left hand side. While JL, Joey and Phil were asked to stand on her right hand side. Regine later announced that the contenders standing on her right were the bottom three from the last two week's text voting period, while the contestants standing on the left were safe.

No contenstant was voted out last week, hence the two-week voting period.

JL performed with Gian Magdangal, singing "Mr. Suwabe" by the band Parokya Ni Edgar. Joey performed with Pinoy Rock icon Mike Hanopol, singing Hanopol's own composition "Katawan" for the ‘70s group Hagibis. Phil on the other hand drew a lot of screams in the studio as he performed with Celebrity Duets alumnus Hayden Kho. They sang "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," originally interpreted by the Righteous Brothers in the ‘60s and later in the ‘80s by the American singing duo Hall and Oates.

Earlier, Carlene started the performances by singing a duet with Karylle. They peformed Beyonce Knowles and Shakira's "Beautiful Liar." JC came next singing a duet with Side A's Joey Generoso. They sang Side A's "Tuloy Pa Rin."

Bayani Fernando was singing ahead of the accompanying band, until his singing partner that night, Julie Ann San Jose of Sugarpop, came in and put him back on track in their number "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," famously sung by Judy Garland in the movie The Wizard of Oz.
