“I won’t talk about it muna, thank you.”

Bela opens up about difficult period before Life After You
Lahad ni Bela: “When I entered this project, I was feeling a bit sad or parang heavy.
"She made me remember why I love this job so much. She made me realize also na, yun nga, it’s not always parang, I guess, sunshine and rainbows in our profession.
“Kasi parang my whole life, I treated this job and this profession that way. And then, yun nga, it got challenging for a bit.
"And then Inay [Maricel] made me realize why I came here in the beginning. Why acting is so important to us and why we love it so much.
"And why being a storyteller is so important, especially in times like this, our country is going through such difficult times.
"It’s so nice that we get to tell stories that give hope and make people feel good.
“So she brought that back to me so I am very thankful indeed,”
“Siguro ano lang, stuff at work. Mabigat lang, mabigat yung…
"Tapos, ayun, naglilipat ako ng bahay. Parang nagsunud-sunod. I was doing a lot of things. Yun lang naman, nothing specific.
"Parang I was going through a tough time and also health concerns.
“I had to update them constantly, I had to choose projects.
"And I didn’t want let this one go kasi ngayon ko lang makakatrabaho nga si Inay sa ganitong capacity.
"So, I felt like it was important for me to stay here, and parang mabigat yung feeling.
"I didn’t want to enter a project feeling that way kasi parang disservice sa mga katrabaho ko," tuluy-tuloy na paliwanag ni Bela.

BELA SAYS Life After You production helped HER through tough time
Saad niya: “The whole production was so helpful. I was in and out of the hospital. It was starting to affect my health.
"I was so stressed out. I couldn’t sleep. I lost weight, dropped to 48 kilos.
“It was affecting me physically. But everyone was kind.
"It was mostly work stuff. I was reading a lot of things and hearing a lot of things I could easily refuted.
“But at the time, I was still part of the project. I did not want to do anything. I lost my fight.
"Parang, I felt this was so unfair I did not want to say anything.”
“I am vocal for other people, for people who don’t have a voice. I speak up for people who can’t speak up for themselves.
“Siguro dahil I always look out for others, nang ako ang mahina, naghintay ako, someone would help me in that moment, and a lot of people did.
“It might not be how I do it. They don’t have the same platform as I do and may not be as vocal as I am, but I got support that I needed.
"I gave more than 1000 percent in the project. I felt everyone there also knew that.
“I was so surprised so many things came out. Especially since I was still working on it, I was still on set, I still showed up for two more weeks.”

Bela ADMITS SHE questioned who she could trust
Pagbabahagi ng aktres: “I started feeling bad. I was thinking, 'Who could I trust here?'
"I was still talking to everybody. People were talking to me.
"There were names mentioned and they are still my friends. Up to this day, [they’re] still my friends.
"lt was very confusing. I started questioning everything, who to trust, what I can say, can’t.
“I did not treat it differently from other projects, everything is easily refutable, even as simple as being late.
“I came on set even before production. I was late once dahil kinagat ako ng aso and they knew that.
“It was so unnerving you can make up so many things. You read about yourself in such a different light.
“I started questioning myself. 'Did I do something wrong?'
"I reached out to people mentioned, 'Did I do this? Did I make you feel this way?'
“They said they don’t know where it is coming from.
"When you guys ask me stuff, I try to be as open. I’m an open book, I don’t hide skeletons in my closet.”
Sa kabila ng lahat, itinuring ni Bela na “cathartic” ang Life After You dahil marami raw siyang natutunan tungkol sa kanyang sarili at sa mga taong nakatrabaho niya.
“It helped me learn a lot about myself and people I worked with. Kasi, I’m not gonna lie, napaso talaga ako.
“I felt scared to be on set again. It really affected me a lot.
"I had to see so many doctors. It was affecting me in a physical level. I felt I could not defend myself.
“When something died down, something would pop up. 'Where is it coming from?'
"Even things about my family came up. They are private people. They shy away from this.
“I felt bad my family got dragged onto it. I am not going to lie, I felt attacked.
"I can’t do anything about it. Ano pinanggalingan? I don’t know. I can only guess. I don’t know.”
