Kinumpirma ni Shirley Kuan na siya ang boluntaryong nag-quit bilang talent manager ng aktres na si Bea Alonzo matapos ang anim na taon nilang working relationship.
Sa kanyang tell-all interview na dinaluhan ng piling entertainment editors at reporters, kabilang ang PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), idinetalye ng beteranang talent manager na suko na siya dahil siya ang pinalalabas na "villain, fall guy, at scapegoat" sa kontrobersiyang wala naman daw siyang kinalaman.
Bago nagsimula ang isang oras na panayam sa kanya ng press, may opening statement si Shirley, at dito niya ipinuntong may kaugnayan ang isyu sa nakanselang Spain wedding ni Bea sa billionaire scion na si Vincent Co.
Hindi raw niya malaman kung bakit siya ang itinuturong dahilan kung bakit hindi natuloy ang wedding.
May 14, 2026 ang ibinalita ng PEP.ph na wedding date sana ng couple sa Spain.

Pero ilang araw bago naganap ang kasalan, o noong May 8, sumambulat sa publiko ang kontrobersiyal na on-and-off wedding nina Bea and Vincent.
Walang direktang kumpirmasyon noon sina Bea at Vincent tungkol sa isyung may kinalaman umano sa prenup agreement.

Tikom din ang bibig ni Shirley kahit na makailang-beses siyang tinanong ng PEP noon tungkol sa inaabangang wedding ng high-profile couple.
Ito ay sa kabila ng lumabas na balita sa isang online site na itinuturo siyang dahilan kung bakit hindi umano natuloy ang kasal.
Hanggang sa wala ngang nangyaring kasalan noong Mayo.
Ayon kay Shirley, nagdesisyon siyang basagin ang pananahimik niya dahil sa patuloy na pandidiin sa kanya.
"Bakit ko ipapa-cancel? Ninang ako. Nagpagawa ako ng gown. Nag-effort ako," seryosong bulalas ng beteranang talent manager.
"And at that time, kasagsagan ng Middle East war, ng Iran war. Ayaw kong dumaan ng layover sa Dubai.
"And at that time, the plane fare was so high. Kung ayaw kong matuloy ang kasal, bakit ako gagastos? Just plane fare alone and hotel is almost PHP700,000.
"So, logic tells you, gusto ko yung kasal, di ba? Bakit ako lumipad na ahead of time?
"Ang ginawa kong flight is from Manila to L.A. Kasi from L.A, I fly to Madrid. Ayaw ko talagang dumaan ng Middle East.
"So ginawa ko, nagpa-schedule na ako ng mga doctors ko para may saysay naman yung pagdaan ko sa L.A.
"So all these things happened when I was in L.A., okay? Di ko alam anong nangyayari dito."
Sa puntong ito inihayag ni Shirley na si Bea mismo ang nag-utos sa kanyang ipaalam sa wedding guests na hindi tuloy ang kasal sa Spain noong Mayo.
"One day, I received a text from her business partner, Bea Secosana, okay? And she told me, I'll read it to you.
"Resibo ko 'to. Kaya kayo, na pinagbibintangan ako, maglabas kayo ng resibo, okay?"
Nilinaw pa ni Shirley na kalat na ang text message na babasahin niya kaya maaari na raw niya itong ibahagi sa press.
"This is from Bea Secosana. Friday, 8th of May. I don't know if this is the date in L.A. or the date here. Hindi ko na alam.
"Anyway, 'Hi, Tita. Bea asked for a favor if you can message her guests and Amanda, the wedding coordinator na din daw po.'
"This is what she wants to say. To send to the guests, her guests.
"Bea herself. She composed the whole message. She told Bea Secosana to send it to me."
Sabi raw ni Bea Secosana sa text message nito kay Shirley: "I'm messaging on behalf of Bea. We sincerely apologize for the sudden notice, but unfortunately, the wedding has been canceled.
"We understand that many of you made time, effort, and arrangements to celebrate this special day with them, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.
"Bea is currently on a flight right now, but she will personally reach out and message everyone as soon as she lands.
"We kindly ask for your understanding and prayers for her during this difficult time. Thank you so much for your understanding."
Bilang manager, nagulat daw si Shirley sa second-hand information na natanggap niya.
"Can you imagine the stress I felt right away? I even texted Bea [Secosana]. Of course, I had the reaction, 'Bea, totoo ba 'to?'
"I mean, 'Yes, Tita.' 'And where is she [Bea Alonzo]? I wanna talk to her. I wanna confirm.'
"'Uh, she's on a plane. She's on her way to London.'"
Mabilis daw nag-isip si Shirley kung paano niya babasagin ang balita sa wedding guests nina Bea at Vincent na naghanda para sa Spain wedding.
Pagpapatuloy ng beteranang talent manager: "Ako naman, should I delay this? But people are already flying. This is the 8th of May. People are already flying.
"Nakakaawa naman because I know how much it costs to buy those tickets. So I'm considerate in a way. Hmmm, kailangan na itong ipadala.
"So my next dilemma, should I put my name or should I send it as is? If I send it as is, people might think it's a prank and it'll be all over the social media again.
"This is not supposed to be taken as a joke. This is a serious matter.
"And kaming mga manager, pag hiningan kami ng tulong ng mga artist, we are there to help, especially in this kind of situation, di ba?"

SHIRLEY KUAN COMPOSED REGRETS MESSAGE FOR GUESTS
Nagdesisyon daw siyang hindi i-send ang mismong mensaheng isinulat ni Bea Alonzo para protektahan ang aktres.
Mas mabuting nakapangalan daw sa kanya ang mensahe para masiguro ng makakabasa na lehitimo ito.
"So what I decided was to put, 'Hi, this is SK.' So people, her guests, would receive it and they know it's not a prank. It's legitimate because SK is credible.
"So there were people who were on their way to airport or ano, they were able to cancel. But there were people who could not and chose not to.
"But, mali ba yon?"
Ang problema, may iba raw na tila nag-isip na walang basbas ni Bea ang kanyang text message.
"So kung may nakarating sa iba na ako yung taga-text, well, I'm correcting you now, which Bea probably did not correct those people. She should have.
"Nung lumabas yun, I think your first instinct is to say, 'No, no, no, she did not send that. I asked her a favor.' Yun man lang.
"Pero kinain ko lahat yun because I cannot add to her pain. Sige lang. Okay na, di ba?"
ON FALSE RUMOR CIRCULATING IN "CHINESE COMMUNITY PARTIES"
Hanggang sa nakarating daw kay Shirley na maging sa Chinese community ay may usap-usapan na siya ang sinisisi sa nakanselang Spain wedding gayong messenger lamang siya.
"E, kaso ayaw tumigil. Even in all the parties, all these Chinese community parties and dinners and everything, ako ang topic.
"And these people who are friends with the other camp are confirming na ako daw talaga ang cause.
"Nakarating sa akin. I have naman Chinese friends. They're there at dinners or whatever.
"And I'm so glad they defended me. They said, 'Tita SK, I defended you, ha? That it's not true. That I'm your friend.'
"Of course, they tell me this is going on. But hindi lang ito once, twice, three times. All the time, this has been going on.
"But kailangan ko bang mag-depend sa mga friends ko to defend me all the time? They cannot be in all the parties."
Kuwento pa ni Shirley, sa dami ng wedding guests sa supposed Spain wedding ng couple, nagpatulong siya kay Bea Secosana at pati na rin sa handler ni Bea Alonzo na si Nina Ferrer sa pagpapadala ng text messages.
"Nanghingi ako ng tulong, ha? Hindi lang ako ang nagpadala niyan. Pero yung sa akin, I don't know how they did it.
"Yung sa akin, I identified myself to protect Bea. Kasi ayaw kong mabastos 'to. This is something very serious, sad, very sad.
"So sabi ko pa nga kay Bea [Secosana], sabi ko, 'I'm trying to make an appointment for a bone density test. Nahihirapan akong mag-appointment. Can you just take over first, please?'
"Kasi ang hinahabol ko naman, yung mga aalis na, lilipad na. Do I want this? Do I need this stress?
"I did that for her. Pero anong nangyari? Ako pa rin ang may kasalanan."
SHIRLEY KUAN ON KEEPING MUM ABOUT THE WEDDING BROUHAHA
Matapos ang nakanselang wedding sa Spain, at kumalat ang maling impormasyong siya ang may kagagawan nito, agad daw kinausap ni Shirley si Bea.
"Nung lumabas yung article na ako daw ang reason or culprit, whatever they call it, or the meddler, kaya na-cancel yung wedding in Spain, immediately when I saw it, I called Bea.
"I said, 'Bea, what's this?' Sabi niya, 'I don't know.' And I said, 'We both know the truth, right?'
"And sabi niya agad sa akin, 'Please, SK, promise me you won't say anything kasi ayaw ko nang lumaki pa.'
"And siyempre pagbibigyan mo. Yung alaga ko was heartbroken at that time, you know. You try to accommodate her wishes kasi ayaw niya sigurong lumaki na.
"So talaga I kept quiet, but ayaw tumigil. Ayaw tumigil. Hindi ako sumasagot, lalo akong tinitira and patindi na nang patindi.
"But because I promised her, I kept quiet. Okay? In other words, she did not allow me to defend myself.
"I didn't take it against her, because at that time, that's how she felt and I respected that."
Pero hindi raw tumigil ang paninira sa kanya.
July 13 naganap ang secret wedding nina Bea at Vincent sa Makati City Hall.
Walang imbitadong guests mula sa kani-kanilang pamilya.
Hindi rin imbitado si Shirley.
Pero noong panahong iyon ay matunog pa rin daw ang usap-usapang siya ang pinagmumukhang kontrabida sa pag-iibigan ng couple.
Kuwento pa rin ni Shirley: "Kaso patuloy na ako pa rin ang villain. Parang teka lang, why am I supposed to be the villain here? Wala naman akong ginawa.
"So when I talked to Bea, well, the reason why they're making me a villain, just to let you know, in case you didn't hear it or read it, parang, 'Finally, natuloy din ang kasal kasi hindi na nakialam si Shirley Kuan.'
"Parang ginawa pa rin akong kontrabida. Hindi ko na lang sinagot din. Kasi nga, ako naman, ang reason ko ngayon, kinasal na, e. Why would I rain on their parade?
"Let them be happy. Ayaw ko nga maging kontrabida."
SHIRLEY KUAN ON LAST STRAW THAT MADE HER RESIGN
Hanggang sa noong August 10, nagulat daw si Shirley nang malaman siya ay "disinvited" sa isang event para sa isang deal na siya raw mismo ang nagsara para kay Bea.
"The third trigger point that was the last straw was there was this event that... That's, that's my deal. I closed this event.
"I was talking to the client and preparing this event, and I was told by client that I'm disinvited.
"And I already know. I already know what happened. Even if the client didn't want to tell me because I just want to protect the client.
"Basta, in other words, I already know who it is. And I told them. Sabi, 'Wag kang magalit. Babawi kami sa yo.'
"Hindi ako galit, but I'll be a hypocrite if I tell you I'm not offended because this has never been done to me.
"Wala naman akong kasalanan, di ba? What have I done?
"So anyways, I didn't [go to the event]. Sabi ko, 'Don't worry, I'm not going if that's your request.'
"But that's very offensive, and that's not something I can accept."
Nilatag daw ni Shirley kay Bea ang insidenteng siya ang ginagawang "villain" sa nakanselang Spain wedding ng aktres kay Vincent.
Sinabi rin daw niya ang ginawang hindi pag-imbita sa kanya sa event na siya mismo ang nag-close para sa alaga.
Nangyari ang pag-uusap nila via phone call noong August 11.
"And I told Bea that's the last straw.
"After I told her that, [she said], 'No, I didn't know about that. Di ko alam yan.' 'Okay, now I'm telling you.'
"And this very moment, this is what I said, 'As of this very moment, and as of this very day, I am no longer your manager.'
"That's how I told her."
Ayaw sabihin ni Shirley kung sino ang nagpa-disinvite sa kanya sa event ni Bea.
Basta ang punto niya, hindi niya lubos maisip na hindi siya imbitado sa proyektong inayos niya para kay Bea "from scratch."
Tanong ng PEP, paano nangyaring hindi siya inimbita sa event?
"Let's just say clients were told by... They won't tell me. But, you know, let's just do the math," malamang sagot ni Shirley sa di pinangalanang indibidwal na nagpatanggal sa kanya sa guest list.
Tanong ulit ng PEP, anong sabi ni Bea?
"She said she doesn't know about it," simpleng sagot ulit ni Shirley.

SHIRLEY KUAN TELLS BEA ALONZO: "YOU NEVER DEFENDED ME."
Sa pag-uusap nilang iyon, direkta rin daw niyang sinabi kay Bea na hindi siya nito ipinagtanggol sa kung sino mang may pakana ng paninira sa kanya.
Partikular na sa usaping siya ang sinisisi sa nakanselang wedding ng couple sa Spain.
"She said, 'How, how did it come to this?' I said, 'I don't know. I had no idea.'
"Bakit ako sinisiraan non-stop? And sabi ko, 'Bea, you never defended me. Hindi mo ako pinagtanggol, e.' I said that.
"I didn't mean naman... kasi alam ko naman [si] Bea hindi mahilig yan mag-public interview.
"Ang sa akin, kasi privately, you could have told whoever that is the truth. Na wala, wala akong alam diyan. Hindi ako nakialam ever."
Sa kabila ng sentimyento ni Shirley, wala raw sana siyang planong magsalita tungkol sa pag-resign niya bilang manager ni Bea.
"I promised her I'm not gonna make any announcement about the resignation.
"But I said, 'One more. Tirahin pa ako isa. You are giving me no choice but to defend myself because enough is enough.'"
THE CALL FROM ANOTHER TALENT MANAGER
Pero noong Biyernes, August 21, nakatanggap daw si Shirley ng tawag mula sa isang kapwa talent manager na ipinarating sa kanya na may taong nag-utos na siya ay siraan.
"I kept my promise until it came out yesterday. I was, like, in the news everywhere.
"Because last Friday, I got a call from a friend of mine. Ayaw ko na din mag-mention ng name. A friend of mine who's also a talent manager told me that she's friends with a certain individual.
"And this is unbelievable. And [that individual] asked her, 'Kaya mo bang awayin si SK?'
"And she said, 'Why? Wala namang sinabing masama si SK. Why should I?'
"And kilala ko siya. Hindi na nga siya kumikibo. Hindi na siya nagsasalita. She's very quiet.'
"But she ended up calling me and asked me. Sabi niya, 'Tumatawag ako sa yo because I wanna know the truth.' 'Oh, you want the truth? This is the truth.'
"I told her everything, and that's it. And she confronted that person [to say] that she believes me."
Ipinaalam daw ni Shirley kay Bea ang nalaman niyang impormasyong may gustong manira sa kanya.
"Immediately, I sent her a text. I said, 'This person called me and may kinukuhang kaibigan ko na awayin daw ako. Why is this happening?'
"I don't want to read the text, but that's a private thing. But I did tell her na kasi tinawagan niya yung kaibigan ko at inutusan niya awayin ako kung kaya...
"So I said, 'What's going on?' Di ko, di ko alam, e. Bakit, di ba?
"And I told Bea, may text ako, 'Bea, nag-resign na ako. Hindi pa ba kayo masaya? Ano pa bang gusto niyo?
"So, tama na. Enough is enough."
