Nagluluksa ang sports community sa Pilipinas dahil sa pagpanaw ng batikang sports columnist at dating sports editor na si Ricardo “Recah” Trinidad.
Namayapa si Recah sa edad na 83 ngayong Linggo, Setyembre 13, 2026.
Si Recah ang ama ni Chino Trinidad, ang TV personality at sports journalist na nauna nang pumanaw noong Hulyo 13, 2024 dahil sa atake sa puso.
Si Chino ang panganay na anak ni Recah at ng asawa nitong si Maria Fe Trinidad.

RECAH TRINIDAD DIES AT 83
Ang manugang ni Recah na si Nice Trinidad ang nag-anunsiyo sa publiko sa pamamagitan ng social media tungkol sa pagkamatay ng veteran sports journalist.
Nakasaad dito: “Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our beloved Dad, Ricardo 'Recah' Trinidad who peacefully joined our Creator at around 6AM today, 83 years of a life well lived.
“After suffering a heart attack in June, Dad bravely fought for the past few months and finally found his rest. He passed peacefully in his sleep, free from pain and suffering.
“Dad was also a well-known sports journalist, dedicating many years of his life to his passion for sports and journalism. His voice, stories, and contributions will forever be remembered.
“He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mommy Fe, his sons Kuya Paolo, and my husband Baste, daughters-in-law Babs Trinidad and me, Nice, and his 6 grandchildren, Florian, Florenz, Floresse, Coley, Coby, and Chloey, who lovingly called him Papa.
“I find comfort knowing that Dad is now reunited with his beloved eldest son, Kuya Chino Trinidad.
“Rest peacefully, Dad, No more pain. You are home. Thank you for being our Dad, I love you. We love you! and We will miss you forever.
“Details of Dad’s public wake will be shared by Kuya Paolo in the coming days. For now, we ask for your prayers for Mommy Fe, our family, and all those who loved him.”
