Olympic double gold medalist Carlos Yulo and content creator Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose are officially engaged.
Chloe confirmed their engagement in a YouTube video uploaded on September 28, 2026.
According to Chloe, Carlos proposed on December 18, 2025, but they chose to keep their engagement private for nine months before finally sharing the news with the public.
The video also featured photos of Carlos and Chloe celebrating the milestone with their loved ones.
In the video's description, which Chloe also shared on Instagram, she looked back on their journey from the time they first connected to their engagement.
Chloe wrote: "Our little secret since December 18 2025…[emojis]
"For 9 months, we’ve been treasuring this beautiful secret between us, quietly smiling to ourselves and taking our time to cherish it, knowing that one day we’d finally share it with the world.
"It started with a simple 'Hi, I’m a fan po.'
"Neither of us could have known where that little message would take us.
"And from there, life became a collection of airports, competitions, hotel rooms, long training days, little adventures, big dreams, and countless moments in between.
"I got to watch you chase your dreams, and you let me be beside you through the biggest moments of your life. We grew up together.
"We learned together. We fought for each other, protected each other, supported each other, and built a life of our own.
"Through everything, God has continued to guide us, protect us, and give us the strength to keep going.
"And looking back now, I’m grateful even for the chapters that weren’t easy, because they brought us here.
"Mahal ko, I would choose you in every lifetime. And now, we get to choose each other for the rest of this one.
"I love you. Forever. [emoji]"

CARLOS YULO AND CHLOE SAN JOSE'S ENGAGEMENT
In the video, Carlos and Chloe looked back on the proposal and the events leading up to their engagement.
Chloe admitted that she initially had no idea Carlos was planning to propose.
Some of his actions, however, only made sense to her after she learned about the engagement.
She said: "Kaya pala si Caloy, nung mga nakaraan parang naca-caught on guard ko siya na 'pag natutulog ako tapos magigising ako, tas nakatingin siya.
"And then he says... he's just like, 'Oh wala lang. Tinitingnan ko lang.' Yun pala, this was happening.
"So then kaya pala he's been like looking over me while I sleep. And then yeah, here, here we are."
Chloe said she only began to suspect something when she noticed the setup at the venue where the proposal took place.
She recalled: "Nasa bahay lang po talaga kami because this was explained to me po na Christmas party ni Ferdie, which is Ferdie is really, really good family friend of ours po.
"I really didn't think of it as anything. And then yung cousin ko she said, 'Uy, ang ganda ng lights.'
"And then when I heard that, doon palang nagsa'kin, nag, nag-ano sa'kin na, 'Oh my god, I know what this is.'"
For his part, Carlos revealed that the proposal had been on his mind months before he finally popped the question.
He shared: "Nagsimula po talaga siya pumasok sa isip ko nung before ako pumunta sa Japan for a training camp, September 27.
"Talagang hindi na 'ko makatulog and sobrang kaba doon kasi iniisip ko kung papano siya i-pe-prepare.
"And also, alam lahat ni Chloe talaga yung, uh, mga ginagawa ko. Doon ako pinakahirapan po talaga."
Carlos said he only had enough time to seriously work on the proposal plans after returning to the Philippines.
He added: "After world championships nung October, doon lang po ako nagkaroon talaga ng time kasi nandito na po sa Philippines. Nag-start 'to nung training camp."
One of the surprises revealed in the video was that Carlos gave Chloe not one but two engagement rings.
Explaining the gesture, he said: "Si Chloe talaga yung... tumulong sa akin [makarating]... magkaroon po ng two gold medals sa Olympics.
"And para sa akin, siya yung gold medal ng puso ko. So dalawang engagement ring yung binigay ko sa kanya."
Towards the end of the video, Chloe became emotional as she reflected on finally being able to share the news publicly.
She expressed: "It's just all sinking in to me now. Yeah, I just didn't expect that everything is gonna happen the way that we were talking about.
"Pero now that it happened in real life, siyempre it feels very different. Family's here, all the closest people to us are here.
"The little requests, Nice Print. I request na talaga sa'yo, kumali, if ever you're gonna propose, it has to be nice print.
"And Gideon Hermosa as well. Di ko talaga na-expect that it would get executed the way that, uh, we were making kwento. Thank you, Ma, for making it a dream come true.
"I'm just so excited for what's to come for us next. And I just love you so much."
