JP Carpio, an independent filmmaker, will be screening select films at the University of the Philippines-Manila on February 13-15.
The activity, which is dubbed as momentaries, will screen Bunker 0: Sumirib Plus, a short documentary about the aftermath of the oil spill disaster that struck Guimaras island on August 11, 2006. Bunker O was included in the Guimaras: Short films from the Oil Spill festival that took place in Robinsons Galleria last November 2006.
momentaries will also screen VTR, a short experimental narrative starring Tessa De Guzman. JP will also provide the audience with a special sneak preview of his future full-length film Palangga (The Beloved) starring Jenny Logico and Emerson Sanchez.
Finally, the activity will end with the screening of Jeffrey Jeturian's multi-awarded film, Kubrador, starring Gina Pareño.
momentaries is presented by Linao films, in cooperation with the Department of Arts and Communication and the University of the Philippines Salinlahi.
Screening Dates:
February 13 (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
February 14 (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. (with an open forum)
February 15 (Thursday) at 1 p.m.
