When asked if her family is tired of talking about the past issue between brother Patrick Garcia and Jennylyn Mercado, Chesca Garcia replied, "Oo naman, hello? Sobrang tagal-tagal na no'n at saka parang it's too dragging already."

Chesca Garcia is back to work after her wedding with basketball player Doug Kramer last October 9. PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to talk to Chesca during a photo shoot for the holiday collection of Petit Monde yesterday, November 19, in Quezon city.

How is her married life?

"Same. Masaya," answered Chesca. "Wala naman, ganun pa rin, magkatabi lang kami. It's still the same."

Chesca added that nothing has changed in her life since her marriage last month, except that she sees Doug more often now. "Hindi, kasi parang ganun din 'yon, e, parang ikinasal lang kami. Really, it's still the same, para namang walang nagbago," she said.

Cheska said that Doug remains a "very caring, very maalaga, very understanding, and thoughtful, a good husband."

Are they planning to have a baby soon?

"Kung ibigay. Hindi naman talaga namin pinaplano. Kung ibigay, kung mangyari, e, di go," she replied.

The Us Girls host said that she'll be spending her Christmas with Doug's family in Baguio and with her family on the New Year.

ON PATRICK GARCIA. During the interview, Chesca was also asked about her younger brother Patrick, who came back to the country for her wedding.

The young actor went to the States during the height of his breakup with former girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado. They have a lovechild named Alex "Jazz" Mercado.

Patrick was seen by PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last Sunday, November 16, during the back-to-back concert of Chris Brown and Rihanna at The Fort Open Field in Taguig City. He was with young actress Glaiza de Castro. (CLICK here for realted story.)

Is he still going back to the States to pursue his plan of going back to school again?

"Well, he's still deciding whether he wants to pursue his studies or he wants to stay here," said Chesca.

The model-host said that Patrick is taking his time to relax since his mother network GMA-7 does not have a project for him yet.

"He doesn't have anything with them [GMA-7] yet, e," said Chesca. "Siyempre, matagal siyang nawala, gusto niyang mag-spend ng time with his family and friends. Enjoy lang ang oras kasi he's been in the industry for a long time. Ngayon lang siya talagang nagbakasyon ng ganun katagal. Siguro, may hangover pa siya doon."

Is it possible that Patrick was burned out in showbiz?

Chesca replied, "I guess, you could say that there's a part of him that's burned out from showbiz. But then, you know, once an actor, always an actor."

Despite this, Cheska believes that Patrick will still go back to the industry that honed his craft as an actor.

"It's just a matter of ano, kapag sinabi niyang, siguro, ‘Okay na ulit ako. Tapos na 'yong pagre-relax ko.' Lahat naman tayo nagbabakasyon. So, sa kanya, hinahayaan lang namin siya, kasi it's a much-needed rest naman and much-deserved rest din for him."

Does she give any advice to Patrick?

"Wala, alam naman ni Pat na anytime he wants to talk to me, I'll be there for him," Cheska said. "Pero kapag hindi niya in-ask ang advice ko, or hindi siya lumapit sa akin, ayaw kong manghimasok. Kasi, he has his own life and I have my own life.

"But, for him lang, kapag mayroon akong nakita na hindi ko gusto, sasabihin ko lang na, ‘Maybe you should look into this.' Pero 'yong para pakialaman ko siya, that's not my job because he has his own self."

When a reporter tried to bring up the issue that happened between the Garcia family and Jennylyn, Cheska cut in and said, "I really don't wanna talk about it, sorry. I don't wanna talk about that issue anymore.

"For me, that issue has already been talked about a lot of times and there's no need to continuously explain and explain and explain. 'Yon lang din at 'yon lang din ang pinag-uusapan. Parang nakakapagod.

"So for me, I hope you guys would understand, I don't wanna talk about it and I don't wanna talk about her [Jennylyn]. For me, nasabi ko na ang lahat ng kailangan kong sabihin, tapos na 'yon. Everybody has moved on, so stop na 'yan.

"Nasabi na niya ang side niya, nasabi na namin ang side namin. Tinuldukan na niya, tinuldukan na namin. Dapat tapos na 'yon, kasi nakakasawa. Hindi naman nakakatulong 'yon, e, so huwag na lang pag-usapan," Chesca said in closing.
