Kahit ang director ng The Promise na si Mike Tuviera, hindi na mabilang kung ilang beses naghalikan sina Richard Gutierrez at Angel Locsin sa pelikula.
Nag-last shooting day sa isang hacienda sa Tagaytay, nuong January 22, ang Valentine presentation ng Regal Films at GMA Films na The Promise. Bida rito sina Richard at Angel, kasama sina TJ Trinidad, Rhian Ramos, Ryan Eigenmann, and the scriptwriter of the movie itself, Raquel Villavicencio.
May surprise birthday party na ibinigay for both Richard and TJ. Kaarawan ni Richard the day before the last shoot, January 21, at actual birthday naman noong araw na yun ni TJ.
Past midnight nang natapos ang shooting dahil may 20 sequences na kinunan sa nasabing location.
During the dinner break na naging birthday parties na rin for the two male stars of the movie, nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Direk Mike and asked him how sexy the two stars were in the movie.
Surprisingly sexy in a way the audience has never seen the two, sagot ng batang direktor na anak ni TAPE boss Tony Tuviera. This is nga raw their first mature movie together kasi. Pinabilang namin sa young director kung ilang beses ang love scenes at ang kissing scenes nina Richard and Angel. Although he counted the love scenes—dalawa—hindi niya mabilang ang kissing scenes dahil marami raw talaga.
May mga eksena raw kasi ang dalawa na kahit hindi love scene, naghahalikan sila.
As to the love scenes naman, the first one was shot at the start of the shooting, and the last one, the last day of the shooting. Makikita raw ang likod ni Angel dito at si Richard topless naman. Idadaan sa editing ang eksena para walang makitang maselan na bahagi ng katawan ang dalawa.
Inamin din nina Richard and Angel na although they have been comfortable with each other, dahil maraming beses na silang nagkasama hindi lang sa pelikula kundi pati na rin sa television, kinabahan din daw sila sa eksena dahil first for them ito.
