The Philippine Artists Managers, Inc. (PAMI) lost one of its founding members with the unexpected death of talent manager Douglas Quijano.
PAMI sent PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) the following text message:
"Our beloved DOUGLAS QUIJANO went home to His Creator this morning while in his home in Lucban. Let us pray for the eternal repose of his soul—a GOOD and KIND MAN. A CARING FRIEND TO ALL—we the PAMI grieve this big loss. A founding member and our FIRST CHAIRMAN."
Douglas was the first chairman of PAMI and considered as first among equals. The group's current president is June Torrejon, while the chairperson is Ethel Ramos.
The veteran and respected talent manager died of a stroke earlier today, June 13, at his Lucban, Quezon home. (Click here to read related article.)
