Two heads are better than one, but three heads can win P2 million in the brand new Pilipinas, Game KNB.
ABS-CBN's morning game show will debut its exciting team format this Monday (April 13), with a star-studded line-up ready to give their all for the grand prize.
No one is more pumped up than host Edu Manzano, who will be handling the third format since he took over as Pilipinas, Game KNB host in 2007. Edu inherited the "Atras-Abante" format from Kris Aquino and introduced the "Word-Picture" format last year.
"Expect triple the fun because three players will be working together to win. The game will also be more challenging because players get to really move around and interact with each other," said the 2008 Gawad Tanglaw Best Game Show host.
The new Pilipinas, Game KNB will feature eight teams with three members each in the onset. In the elimination round, teams will have to use speed as they race to the buzzer to answer Edu's questions.
Four teams will advance to the "Taranta Round," where all players will be put on the spot with Edu's tricky questions. The two highest-scoring teams advance to the "Diskarte Round," where each team will be given three powers to use against each other.
In the end, only the team with best strategy and the widest knowledge will play in the "Million Round" for the elusive P2 million jackpot.
After seven years on air, Pilipinas, Game KNB remains one of the most popular programs in the Philippines because of its fresh concepts and exciting game show hosts in Kris and Edu. Edu was able to inject his own flavor to the show with his wisecracks and dance steps. He also released a dance album featuring the hit song "Papaya," which became a dance phenomenon in the country and a hit in YouTube.
