An office flirtation leads to deadly indiscretions in Columbia Pictures' new romantic thriller Obsessed starring Idris Elba (American Gangster), Beyonce Knowles (Dreamgirls), Ali Larter (TV's Heroes) and Jerry O'Connell (Jerry Maguire).
In the film, Derek Charles (Elba), a successful asset manager who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to the beautiful Sharon (Knowles). But when Lisa (Larter), a temp worker, starts stalking Derek, all the things he's worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy.
"Obsessed is a dark tale of what can happen in the workplace," says executive producer Glenn Gainor. "A very perverse love triangle is created, unwillingly." When Lisa's obsession takes a sinister turn, it's anyone's guess who will come out on top of the twisted triangle...or who will survive at all.
Directed by Steve Shill (TV's The Sopranos), Obsessed was written by David Loughery and was produced by Will Packer. Executive producers are Glenn S. Gainor, Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé Knowles, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, David Loughery, Damon Lee, and Jeff Graup. The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Ken Seng, production designer Jon Gary Steele, and editor Paul Seydor, A.C.E. The music is by Jim Dooley.
Opening soon across the Philippines, Obsessed is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.
