ABS-CBN's health and public service morning program Salamat Dok marks its fifth year of providing the public with practical and relevant information on important health issues with anchor Cheryl Cosim and her guest medical experts every weekend.
This Saturday (May 2), Department of Health director Anthony Calibo will talk about the burgeoning health and wellness tourism and how it helps the Philippine economy, while U.S. ambassador Kristie Kenney takes time off to show another side of her personality outside of her diplomatic chores. The American envoy opens the doors of her home to Salamat Dok for a peek inside her refrigerator, and a scoop on her diet secrets.
On Sunday (May 3), join Cheryl as Salamat Dok conducts an outreach medical mission in Malolos, Bulacan. Former health secretary Jaime Galvez-Tan and herb expert Dr. Emil Aligui will also discuss the merits of integrating western or conventional medicine with natural, alternative and traditional medicine.
Since its launch in 2004 with Cheryl Cosim as host, the program has gone through several changes in host composition and format, in a continuing bid to be responsive and relevant to the health needs of viewers. The show has won several awards from prestigious award-giving bodies like the Anak TV Seal, KPB Golden Dove, USTv Students' Choice Awards, and Gawad Tanglaw.
As part of its 5th anniversary celebration, Salamat Dok gives back to the public for all the support by opening a health fair of medical products and services, as well as alternative therapy and treatments at the ABS-CBN Garden. The medical services will include free circumcision, consultations with doctors, massage, tooth extraction, free denture sizing and many more.
Don't miss all these exciting offerings this weekend in the 5th anniversary special of Salamat Dok airing every Saturday, 6 am to 7 am, and every Sunday, 7:30 am - 8:30 am on ABS-CBN.
