Jennylyn Mercado returns to the OPM scene with new music from her upcoming album.
The GMA-7 actress just released a new single titled "Hagdan," which will be part of her sixth solo album.
The title of Jen's upcoming album under Ivory Records is yet to be revealed but her new record will feature 8 tracks: 6 original songs and 2 revivals.
Kapuso singer/actor Christian Bautista is reportedly featured in one of the songs of Jennylyn's new album.
Some of Jennylyn's previous hits include "Kahit Sandali" and "If I'm Not In Love" with Janno Gibbs from her debut Living The Dream (2004); "Basta't Nandito Ka" from her fifth album Never Alone (2014); "Sa Aking Panaginip" from the album Kahit Sandali (2008); and "Moments Of Love" from the soundtrack of the movie with the same title, among many others.
In a previous interview with Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras, Jennylyn said her new single is inspired by the challenges she faced through the yearas. Jennylyn said, "Lyrics pa lang, lyrics... maganda yung binibigay niya na message sa mga tao na 'wag mag-gi-give up, na kahit hindi sila naniniwala sa iyo basta naniniwala ka sa sarili mo kayang-kaya mong gawin ang lahat."
