After one year and two months, Eat Bulaga's "KalyeSerye" segment came to a close earlier today, September 3.
The segment started with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (as their characters in "Kalyeserye") reminiscing their moments with the De Explorer sisters Lolas Nidora (Wally Bayola), Tinidora (Jose Manalo), and Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros).
Alden and Maine were preparing for the lolas's despedida party since they were set to go to the United States.
Of course, Lola Nidora won't leave the two of them without words of wisdom and advice, telling Alden to take care of Maine.
The two, who just became a couple, then accompanied Lola Nidora and Tidora to the airport with the bodyguards "Rogelios" and "Cuandos."
Lola Nidora then promised, "We shall return."
The bodyguards and a large group of people then followed the lola's van which seemed to be like a procession.
The screen then showed the words "The End," but it was immediately followed by "Pero ang Kalyeserye, hindi pa natatapos."
The segment then ended with the words "Kalyeserye shall return."
