BFF (Best Friends Forever) holds international screenings

Sharon Cuneta and Ai-Ai delas Alas are grateful to be given the chance to cement their friendship through the Star Cinema film BFF (Best Friends Forever). Directed by Wenn Deramas, this comedy film is about two women who are in love with the same man played by John Estrada.

Even though the two actresses portray feuding women in BFF, they have become good friends while shooting this film, which will premiere in cinemas nationwide starting May 13, 2009.

In this candid interview, Sharon and Ai-Ai talk about their fondness for each other.


Sharon: She [Ai-Ai] makes me so happy sa movies niya. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, yung kaibahan ni Ai sa ibang sumikat na comedians, yung appeal niya sexy sya, nakakatawa sya mag-joke, or magperform lalo pag walang TV, camera, pero di siya bastusan. You'll laugh along with her. Yun ang appeal niya sa akin.

Ai-Ai (hugs Sharon): Thank you BFF. Yung professionalism n'ya grabe. Kahit anong pabasa mong script, kahit ano sabihin mo sinusunod niya. Ako pa nga yung, ‘Megs sabihin ko ba to?', oo sabihin mo yan no. Ok. Nahihiya ako sa kanya e.

Sharon: Nahihiya s'ya, e. Kunyari may eksena kami, ok lang sabihin ko yung word na kasi malapad ka or something, sabi ko naman! Bakit? Pag di naman niya sinabi yon hindi naman ako ninipis sa script haha. Saka sport lang sa movie yon e. Pag nag-aaway kayo lalo kung friends kayo, talagang prangkahan. Ok lang yon, kaya ko nga tinanggap to para magpatawa.

Ai-Ai: Saka grabe yung luha niya, talagang kung gaano kadami yung una, tatlo, pangalawa, apat, ganon di.

Sharon: Talagang gripo, e.

Ai-Ai: Nakakaloka di nauubusan ng luha.

Sharon: Iyakin talaga ako.

Ai-Ai: Sobra. Kinukwento sa 'kin ni Direk Wenn, alam mo si Sharon, yung iyak nung take one, take two ganon din, take three ganon din, take four ganon din. Ganon! Iisa patak ng luha saka kung saan yung linya kung saan pumatak yung sa take one, ganon din ang luhang pumatak sa take two at sa take three. Wow! Sabi ko, talaga direk? Wow! Yun na lang nasabi ko.. Wow! Di ako makapaniwala!

Sharon: Pero 'eto totoo to, natatawa ako kapag nag-facial expression s'ya na nakakatawa pero pag may dialogue kami na drama naiiyak ako kapag nakatingin ako sa kanya. Tapos maalala ko gusto ko yung ganito..

Ai-Ai: Tapos tuwang tuwa sya pag gumaganito ako (makes her eyes bigger)

Sharon: Haha tawang tawa ako. Pag naaalala ko bigla na lang ako tatawa.


Aside from Sharon, Ai-Ai at John, other cast members of BFF include Chokoleit, Joy Viado, Empress Shuck, Enchong Dee, Miles Ocampo, DJ Durano and Gina Pareño.


BFF (Best Friends Forever) opens in cinemas nationwide starting May 13, 2009. The premiere night will take place at SM Megamall Cinema 10 on May 12. International screenings are scheduled from May to June 2009.
