Actress Alessandra de Rossi returns to her home network ABS-CBN to play an important role in the upcoming drama series Langit Lupa.
The former GMA-7 actress was present during the preview screening of the Kapamilya teleserye last August 15.
This was revealed through a Facebook post by the show’s producer RSB Drama Unit, helmed by business unit head Ruel S. Bayani.

Langit Lupa is topbilled by child stars Xia Vigor and Yesha Camille. It features the love teams of Jairus Aquino and Sharlene San Pedro, and real-life couple Miho Nishida and Tommy Esguerra.
Alessandra was also seen posing for a picture with the show’s lead stars Yam Concepcion, Jason Abalos, and Patrick Garcia.
No details were revealed yet about her character, except that she will not play a villain in the series, unlike in her previous TV shows.
In her interview with Tonight with Boy Abunda last June, Alessandra revealed that she doesn’t want to play villain roles anymore.
“Hindi ko gusto yung roles ko. Hindi ako nakakainspire. Ano nang ginawa niyo kay Alessandra de Rossi, ginawa niyo na siyang monster. Wala siyang nagawa to inspire anyone to be better!
“Naku, kung bababa si God ngayon, sasabihin niya, ‘Hey Alex, may talent ka ba?’ Baka.
“’Nagamit mo ba sa tama?’ Hindi, alis na ako! Kasi lagi na lang ako nang-aagaw, nananapak, pumapatay ng tao, hindi ako ganyan, e!”
It was in ABS-CBN where Alessandra started her career when she was launched in 1998 as part of Star Circle Batch 7 along with Jodi Sta. Maria, Desiree del Valle, and Michelle Ayalde.
Alex then transferred to GMA-7 and did a string of shows where she became popular for villain roles, particularly the kontradida Valentina in the 2005 adaptation of Darna starring Angel Locsin.
In 2008, Alessandra decided to return to ABS-CBN and did a special role in the afternoon series Pieta as the young Cherie Gil. During the pilot episode, there was one scene where Alessandra had to be naked in the streets as her character’s mother humiliated her in public.
She then did the Kapamilya shows I Love Betty La Fea (2008), Tayong Dalawa (2009), Agua Bendita (2010), and Green Rose (2011).
In 2011, she decided to return to GMA via the afternoon series Sinner or Saint. Her last regular series on the Kapuso network was Wish I May, which finished its run last May.
After her Kapuso series ended, she guested in episodes of Kapamilya drama anthologies Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo.
